Mossy Trees
We found some interesting “mossy” trees on our hike up Mother’s Day hill. Very unique actually, something you don’t often come across. Perhaps it is a form of lichen? I certainly am no expert on the matter, but I’m sure one of you can tell me more about it? Anyhow, it was a fabulous two and a half hour hike up the hill and back; this will be my last post on Mother’s Day hill, at least until next time. Thanks for stopping by.

The atmosphere in these shots with the moss-draped trees is super moody and peaceful, man. You always have a great eye for capturing those rich textures and deep forest vibes. The Quality of Pictures is Dammm,,,♥️🔥

Nature never sleeps and expands everywhere and the mossy trees show that. The monochrome photo is quite spooky as in an after apocalyptic event where nature took over. Also those flower's colors are vivid.
I could see that! The monochromes do add a different flavour.
I think I've seen moss growing in trees before, I think the explanation is that when trees are quite damp either due to their type or because of rainfall, or just having extra moisture inside, there are going to be organisms like moss or Spirogyra growing on it. It's a beautiful experience of nature in plain sight.
The bokeh shot of the flower is by far the best picture in the post for me.

I would bet on lichen too, and catching something that unusual on your last Mother's Day hill hike makes the photo session feel like a good send-off.
