Reflecting on Moraine

On this day, the plan was to hike to Eiffel lake via Moraine Lake. The hike itself was only partially successful, as I ran into a snowstorm that prevented me from getting any decent pictures, which was unfortunate. For me, half the fun is the hike / exercise, and the other half is the documenting with photos part. Luckily when returning back to Moraine Lake, the weather had mostly cleared and I was able to get some sweet shots of the lake, along with some cool reflections. Have you ever had the chance to visit Moraine Lake or Lake Louise? Or even the Canadian Rockies? Do tell.

They don’t make it easy, thats for sure. Not a lot of fun riding them shuttles, but it’s a small sacrifice I guess. Thanks.

Lovely reflection. In a way, this beautiful picture shows the cleanliness and purity of the water. The snowstorm proves to be strong enough to stop the hiking.

Yes, pure and clean the water is, as you have noted. One of the reasons it is so special. Thanks for the visit.

I had Moraine Lake on my bucket list for many years now, when I first found out about it by seeing pictures shared on social media by a Canadian friend. Too bad we haven't kept in touch over the years to make my dream come true of seeing this with my eyes as well :(

There is still time to get it done! So many points of interest here in Banff, Yoho, Jasper, and Kootenay park, all in one area.

Amazing how those reflections show up so more clearly in black and white! I never would have thought it would make such a difference. Great pictures!

One day you will make it to Eiffel!

That’s why I love posting black and whites along with the colours. Indeed, it will happen. I won’t give up. Thanks.
