Rock Climbing Anyone?
Who wants to try some rock climbing? Gear up! Seriously, it would be amazing to be able to climb this huge rock. Someday maybe. Photo taken last summer on our hike from Lake O’Hara to Lake Oesa. This is Mount Odaray.

yah, no. it looks cold :D
Honestly it was super hot that day.
It would be amazing! On another note, I wonder if the hike down is more hazardous, or do you believe the hike up would be? Then again, if I am having these thoughts, perhaps I shouldn't even think it... But gosh, it is certainly amazing to look at.
Thanks again for taking us along!
I would say it’s about equal, as long has you have a hiking pole. That being said, if you are a bit fatigued, then probably going down is tougher and more hazardous. Of course we would be talking about the backside of this mountain likely.
A hiking pole is a necessary evil. I don't use them much, but, they make good anchor points to balance against going down.
Thanks. The backside probably has an elevator. Got it. :)
Hey sure when and where...but lets not go in the winter...it gets cold holing frozen rocks.
Do you have gear? what kind of climbing do you do?
I'm more of a dreamer really. I don't think I'm in good enough shape.
With all that hiking you do you could probably get a few 5.6 accomplished....the rock face is more like a 5.12 though.....have you done any climbing?
Not at all actually. When I watch Alex honnold climb, it scares the crap out of me. I'll probably just stay in the horizontal lane,
It would make for good photos as he climbs though.
Great post
