Rocks of Jura Canyon

DSC06134.jpeg

Rocks, rocks, and more rocks. No two rocks look alike in the wild (at least for the most part). Rugged, jagged edges makes for some magnificent sculptures provided by Mother Nature. These photos were taken during an adventure into Jura Canyon, located east of Canmore, Alberta. It was an amazing place, and virtually free of other hikers cluttering up the location. I don’t mind running into other people on the trail, but when it starts becoming crowded, then it takes away from your intimate experience with nature.

Love those pictures of the rocks. You can see the subtle tan & blue & gray in the color ones.

I believe spending some time with nature is always best and you seem to be doing it. Lovely photos shared by you.

These are "archaeologically fascinating" photos... But also visually complex and attractive thanks to the lines and that "certain anarchy" typical of rock formations...

This one, in black and white, is "majestic"... To see it printed in large format must be a wonderful experience!...
