Serenity at Lake

DSC00166.jpeg

What a beautiful little lake here; calm, peaceful, serene, are some of the feelings that came to mind while standing at the shoreline. The effort to get here was definitely worth it. I was hoping the trail would follow the shoreline somewhat, but no such luck. This was basically the only place where one could get a few photos, then it was back into the woods, unfortunately. Would I do this hike again? Yes. Would it be in my top 10 or 20? No. Thanks for stopping by.

For me, one of the places that gives me the most peace and calm is usually the lake shore. Sometimes, I think, reaching peaceful places requires effort. Even if this route isn't among my favorites, the tranquility of the lake and the magnificent shots you captured show that the journey was definitely worth it. As always, the photos look very special and beautiful. I congratulate you on being one of the best writers at showcasing black and white photographs professionally.

Appreciate the kinds words. Nothing quite like the serenity of a lakeshore, thanks for checking in.

What a quiet and peaceful place I was wondering why there wasn't anyone there except you , no campers, no fishermen at the and I have to say these pictures are awesome and and in my opinion, they should be in your top 10.

Good question. The views from the shoreline were outstanding, but the trail to get there was sub par, I guess this hike would make my top 50 list.

Not much space on the shore it seems, might be not top easy to sit and relax... View is great but comfort not much😄

Just looking at your photos soothes me with those breathtaking views, experiencing them in person would be even more extraordinary.

If it's the only place to get good pictures then you sure did get some really great pictures. I understand, not want to return to a place where I won't get the satisfaction of having great pictures to take. What are where are some of the places that better than this place?

This lake was outside the national parks, inside Banff, Waterton, Jasper, Yoho, generally these parks have better overall hikes with the best views.

At least it was a nice hike getting there and the views were spectacular. A shame there was not trail around the lake to get some more views, it a very pretty area with some great pines. I can see why some other hikes would be higher on the repeat list though. It's nice to be able to do more once you put in some serious hiking to reach your destination like that one!

This is one of those lakes where the trail should have been "designed" closer to the lake, I suppose there may have been reasons why it was avoided, but who knows.

I like black and white pictures. Are there fish in the lake?
