Snow in July
As we approached the top of Standish Mountain via open air chairlift, this was the scenery near the top. As you can see, still a lot of melting snow around here. In fact, due to excessive snow in the area, part of the Trail experience at Sunshine meadows was closed! Much to our disappointment. Larynx Lake, and Grizzly Lake were both closed for hikers. So we quickly on the fly, had to make some alternative arrangements. Photos taken at Sunshine Village area, Banff National Park, Alberta.

It might have ruined your plans , but, it leaves me a photogenic moment.
I hope your alternative was just as nice!
Always have to make the most of every situation. It was.
Liked the b&w ones more this time, the texture of the rocks/earth in the last photos make it look pretty cool tbh.
Indeed, I thought it looked cool too. Thanks
But the snow was already melting, why still keep some of the area closed?
Likely the trail would be quite muddy I imagine.
Ohhh I didn't think of that
Man I can climb to the top of a rugged Canadian mountain every day via your blog!
Perspective plus photography skills make for great experience sharing.
Next step is to come on over and do it for real!
It looks very nice, as they approached the top of Standish Mountain through the open-air chairlift, this was the landscape near the top, the snow melting is all beautiful. It's a grsn show, they had a great time. successes
