Stop Motion Falls

Thought I’d play around with the shutter speed here at Lineham Falls. The first two photos were taken at a speed of 1/2500th of a second (2500 ISO), and the third was taken with a shutter speed of 1/250th of second (100 ISO). Surprisingly, the photos looked nearly identical — which was unexpected. I had to double check to make sure I was reading the data correctly, and I was. Looks like 1/250th-1/1000th is about all you need to stop the motion after all. This proves I am an absolute amateur at this lol! Thanks for stopping by.

Shutter speed plays important role when it's about moving object or things like water shared in your picture. I think I liked both colorful and black and white photography. I think all of those have it's way to represent beauty and it's hard to compare, especially for the photographs you shared.

Usually I shoot in auto mode, but once in a while play around with shutter speed, which is fun.

Yeah. I think it looks magical. It just feels. Like freezing real-time motion and watching how it looks great. I think the magic is better with objects that are in linear motion. Perhaps, a speeding car or something. Also, the aren't a lot of different in the motion, in the different picture, they look great altogether

Yeah, you are probably right. I think a long exposure would probably make more sense with a water fall, but would need to lug up my tripod which would be too awkward.
