That’s All (from the Top)

This is it from the top of Yates mountain. Now it is time to begin the descent. The only question is should I return from whence I came or follow that make shift trail down over yonder? I understood you could make this hike a “loop’ hike, but the trail was not marked well, so I asked a nearby hiker relaxing by the Lookout area. So apparently the trail picks up just about a minute away from here, but unfortunately no signage to let you know if you are going in the correct direction. That definitely is one of my pet peeves. Poor signage or no signage at all on some trails here in Kananaskis. I suppose one can just rely on the “AllTrails” app, but I don’t particularly love putting all my trust in technology. How about you, do you use the AllTrails app while out and about in nature?

Great views. Most of the trails here in PH are not as established as other countries' so we're use to having poor or no signage at all. And for someone with no sense of direction, I prefer being guided by my friends rather than reading maps. Hehe

Sometimes those “maps” can get you lost. Thanks for visiting.

Most of the time the apps also don't respond well.. Hope you reached your destination finally. Nice views from a top.

What a beautiful view! It's gets me ready to get out to the wilderness, winter makes it tough even here in southern California! How long did it take to climb that trail?

Beautiful! How high is the elevation rise up at the point? I love the smoky haze in the black and whites, nice!
