the TOP
Have you been to the TOP? Top of Mount Rundle that is. Yeah, me neither. Someday I might make it, but for now, a cropped photo will have to do. This is sort of a demonstration of the full frame 42 megapixel sensor built into my Sony. Add in a zoom lens and this is what you get. (With a little help from Lightroom of course..). This lens of mine is so versatile, a close up or a zoom shot, it can handle everything more or less. It is a 24-105mm. I rarely if ever swap it out. One step better might be a 16-105, a little wider couldn’t hurt. That would be absolutely perfect!
Camera: Sony A7R III
Lens: Sony 24-105mm f4 G OSS
Editing: Lightroom

Wow,This is a very cool peak,We can see nature as widely as possible without obstructions.
Always fun to hike to a higher elevation, with fewer obstructions.
Yeah, That's very true because I do a lot of climbing.
it doesn't look like an easy hike lol!
Not for the faint of heart, or the average hiker (like me).
Very beautiful mountain. I really like the black and white images you shared.
Thanks for looking.
I like how you give the demonstration about the photo.😊
Shows the range of the lens, thanks.
Welcome.😊
Greetings @daveks ,
What a lovely set of photographs of Mount Rundle....quite splendid really.
The clouds enhance the atmospheric quality...do they not.
Thank you!
Cheers!
Yes, one of my favourite mountains of all time. Thanks for your comments.
These are fire my friend, love them and I can stare at your locations for along time. Thanks for continuing to share your amazing shots, have a blessed Sunday.
Hey thanks, hope your weekend is going well!
It actually looks like a fairly easy climb if you take the approach from the right side. Or at least it would have been ten years ago! I don't push myself that hard anymore! lol
Nice shots though, I kind of like that last closeup shot. It's nice. But the first one is also a winner, and nicely balanced with the clouds starting to obscure part of the peak. B&W looks great!
Still it’s rated as a difficult hike, 9 hours roundtrip. Yikes! Thanks for stopping by.
Man, this is cool.
24-105mm is cool, it's a range where you can do almost everything, I would like to have one like that and also an 11, I really want a lot of lens haha awesome shots of the top @daveks friend!

Me neither Dave. I've been near the top of Eeor but never attempted the West end. Maybe this year!
Looks super hard. Good luck on that!
Great photos as always! Thanks for sharing. :)
