Today I present to you more Turquise. I love the colour turquoise, how about you? This is Barrier Lake, one of Kananaskis’s many gems. The best part of the lake is not the lake itself, but the surrounding hikes one can do. Of course I am biased. Some would prefer to spend time on the lake, people like me would prefer to spend time hiking up the nearby tiny mountain (and taking a ton of photos). Just what I prefer. Does it mean I wouldn’t enjoy some water time? Sure I would, but with a limited amount of time to spend, one has to prioritize. For me, the hiking wins pretty much all the time. How about you, hiking or water activities, which wins for you?

What impressive images. Wow,😮, I love that natural gradient color of the lake. It starts with a lighter water, then medium finish and finally a deep blue.
Truth be told the natural colors are amazing. I imagine spending a family day in such a place must be very relaxing. In the shade of a tree and being able to appreciate every detail of the place.
In my case and answering one of your questions, I prefer hiking. But I also like water activities very much. Both are excellent ways to disconnect from the stress that we live today, and at the same time a healthy way to invest our precious time 👌.

That water is so pretty, not quite the Caribbean but really nice. The scenery is amazing around there, I love the Rocky's. Snow is going to be dumping in the mountains here in California this weekend so it may push back spring yet a little farther in the elevations.

Oh the Caribbean, someday I’ll need to check it out, but I’m more of a go west guy vs a go south type. Someday though.
The water is mesmerizing and since I don't hike, I would choose to relax in the cool inviting turquoise.
