Turquoise Canyon

The turquoise coloured Kootenay river winds it’s way through Marble Canyon. Located in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. One can just gaze at the rushing water seemingly forever! It looks so cool. This is what makes this destination so popular. As far as I know, it is the second most visited part of Kootenay Park. Second only to Radium Hot Springs. Both are must do activities

I prefer the colored pictures, my goodness, the water is just so clear and beautiful too. Must be very deep, how far do you think it's the depth?

Hmmm, hard to say, maybe 3-4 metres or so.

The color of the water looks similar to glacier National park in Montana. Pretty awesome.

Gorgeous area! The water reminds me of the ocean in Guam, otherworldly color. Also, the second to last picture you can see the contact zones. Looks like the river found a weak vein in the granite and carved it away. Beautiful to see going into a rough weekend.

FTX, work has slowed before the holidays just as I get ready to go back to Japan. Lot's of negative indicators, but trying to not let it get the best of me. These pictures definitely snapped me out man, seriously.

Planning to retire in Japan, or come back to the states eventually?

I think I'd like to in Japan, but the world is going insane so I may not have a choice. As long as my wife and kids are happy I can make do where ever.

Nowadays, safety is paramount. I did experience the Kobe earthquake sometime back, and where I live now, there isn’t any of that.

Those turquoise blue waters never cease to impress me... They seem to be taken from other worlds, or from fairy tales... These photos are excellent, I have been ecstatic by the angles of capture, they are really wonderful and almost impossible to achieve with that phenomenal vertical framing... Great job my friend... And in black and white are just as good but with more drama 💯 😍!!!!... Thanks for sharing!...
