It’s that time of the year, time for some ballooning! Personally I’ve never been up, but I know it is popular amongst the thrill seekers. I do consider myself a thrill-seeker, but I prefer to be in full control of my thrills. How about you, have you been up in one of these balloons?

is it a trill if you are in full control :D

Never had an opportunity, not 100% sure would i take it if i had. Craziest thing i did was a bungie jump, but i did it because i seen all my friends survive 🤣

Bungie jumping yes, crazy ballooning, maybe not.

I have, but only because I was helping set up balloons the first time they did a balloon race back home. They gave us a lift, although not for a long time, it was still really thrilling!

Still not my cup of tea. Maybe if I was sedated..

:) I can't say I blame you. There is a certain risk involved, and the fact that I am not in control.

I have not so far. I currently do not even remember seeing a balloon like this so far. But it sounds interesting and exciting. I would gladly try it at least once. I would also gladly carry an amateur radio transceiver. The band noise is probably low up there (similarly to a mountain top), and probably you can easily work the whole world on the shortwave bands, even with a mobile antenna.

That sounds interesting. That would be a neat experiment.
