Vista Lake Adventure
The Canadian Rockies solo adventures continues at Vista Lake, Kootenay Park, Alberta. Earlier on in the day I was at the Paint Pots, located in the British Columbia portion of Kootenay Park. The top third of Kootenay is in Alberta, and the bottom two thirds, if not three quarters is in British Columbia. Seems kinda strange, but that is how it is. This is my first time at Vista Lake. From the trailhead you can actually see the lake from above, which is quite unique. The colour of the water is a beautiful turquoise, a colour that seems to be quite popular in this neck of the woods. The trek down to the lake can be done in about forty five minutes or so, with an elevation loss of about 200 metres or so. Highly recommended, if you are looking for something to do on a sunny afternoon!

Gorgeous shots! That's quite a unique color for the lake. I'd love to visit there!
