Water Fowl Lakes

So here we are at the lovely Water Fowl Lakes, Banff Park, Alberta. As far as I could tell there was only one lake, so not exactly sure why lake is plural (it doesn’t really matter anyways). It was about mid-afternoon when we stopped here, the sun was quite warm, and it was a very enjoyable short stop. Perfect place for a picnic actually. Note to self for next time. Also it was my very first time to visit this lake. Very impressive views here actually ( I can’t believe I have not visited here before, although we have driven by multiple times..go figure). Which is your favourite photo?

There actually are two lakes, the plural was on purpose.
The second or third shot does justice to the landscape. It is a really beautiful area. Did you get to stay for a couple of days?

Only stopped for a brief photo shoot (at the main lake), now I'm curious about that second smaller lake!!
Take the trail until you reach the stream, the left will take you to the upper lake. If you go right, down past the campground it takes you to the lower lake.

I had a good friend that worked at one of the Banff resorts. Talk about a great job! The best I remembered about it was the plural name! LOL I had to look it up to see if it was the same one.
It is such wonderful country up there. I actually time in Canada growing up. My dad wanted to move there, so he loved taking us kids camping up there. It was always fun!
That is quite an impressive view from the lakeside. We do not have mountains where I live. You are blessed.
