Yates Lookout

Here we are at the or near the top of Yates Mountain. Great views of Barrier Lake below, and Mount Baldy. Officially this is part of the “Prairie view” hiking trail experience. Looking up from down below, I didn't have the feeling that this hike would be all that spectacular, but the views from the top were really quite sweet actually. Didn’t even take more than about 2 hours to get up here, so I would rate this one at about an 8/10, based on effort spent vs reward received. My kinda hike.

The blue sky, the blue mountains and the blue waters with green pastures as border....oh lovely, gives a pleasant look. This just is an excellent view overall. Especially the third one as you told has no words, to describe its beauty. I really wonder watching the colour of water, it is sooooo beautiful . An apt place for trekking. Sure it will be enjoyable I believe.

You added too much white when painting the lake

These were super hard to edit. There was a bit of smoke in the air giving everything a creamy sort of feel. You’re right though.

It's why I don't bother doing anything except cropping and compressing my photos- just embrace the smoke. Today we are getting a good dumping, hopefully this summer isn't as dry or fiery as the last one.

The blue sky is really something of a beauty to really admire of. The gift of nature

Nature is the gift that keeps on giving, I like to say.

Absolutely fascinating🤩, I was amazed to see these images that capture the serenity and grandeur of nature at its finest. It's as if each photograph tells its own story, from the exhilarating climb to the top of Yates Mountain to the quiet contemplation of the vastness of Barrier Lake and the imposing Mount Baldy.🙌🙌

It's truly inspiring to see how a seemingly ordinary hike transforms into an extraordinary experience once you reach the top and find yourself surrounded by such natural beauty🤩. Your ability to capture those moments and share them with us is truly admirable.👌

Additionally, the choice to present these stunning views in black and white adds a unique artistic dimension to the images. The absence of colors allows us to focus on composition and details, giving each photograph a timeless and evocative atmosphere. I really loved it 👌👌

It is comforting to know that there are places as spectacular as this, where the effort invested in the hike is amply rewarded by the natural beauty that surrounds you. Without a doubt, this hiking route deserves to be explored by any lover of nature and impressive landscapes.🙌

Thank you for sharing this enriching experience with all of us. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the following photographs. Excellent work.👍.

Well friend, have a great day. Best regards 🤝

That is one hell of a view! Breathtaking in that first photo! Now I really can't wait to get back up in the pines. I miss the smell and the sound of the wind! That water reflects those clouds so perfectly, great shots. I still have to go with the color, that water is just too pretty not too!
