Building and Strengthening Family Bond
Family is the basic, indivisible, important unit of society. We all come from a family, though differing. Some come from large families and others from small families. Some come from humble backgrounds and others from luxurious and expensive homes. Family backgrounds differ. As the basic unit of society, and the foundational institution for character development and perception of life, the power and influence of family can't be ignored.
Family, beyond a name speaks of a group of people, supposedly living in mutual understanding, unity and love. Well, it's a group of people related by blood, as we've been taught which is essentially true. These are the people you've come to know and have learnt to cherish, as ideally is the case in many families. This reminds me of a popular statement we often refer to when talking about family, which is “blood is thicker than water.”
As a group of people related by blood, it speaks in line with the statement. This is where a thing known as a bond is formed and that statement refers to the family bond that exists between members of a family. The bond between family members binds members to one another, that's if a good bond exists. Of course, a bond is that which binds two things or elements together, which in this case is the family members and the bond here is love.
Blood relationship forms the family, but bond keeps the family together, as it is the work of a bond, and as aforementioned, love is that bond. How to strengthen this bond between family members requires the effort to love one another unconditionally. Love as a bond holds members together. That's why even in disagreements and unpleasant moments caused by some events or the action of a member of the family, they still hold to one another.
Again, that's when there's a good bond. So, building and strengthening that bond will entail having good communication. Lack of good and proper informal communication is a case for a weak family bond or an absence of it. Learning to communicate through the good and bad, the rough and smooth, the highs and lows, will ultimately lead to more connection, hence the creation or strengthening of the family bond.
Spending quality time is an important factor too. It's sad that today, many families don't know how to do this. Maybe we can blame the modern-day culture that allows for family members to be in a space physically, yet not connected because people are focused on screens. What's worse is when everyone tends to run to their room or their space, and always doing their thing. For that strong family bond, spending quality time is necessary.
Ultimately, having a good and strong family bond does a lot of good to a person. It helps them develop a healthy view and perspective about life and people, teaching them to value and respect all that. It creates good rapport and understanding, where there are few to no assumptions because there's always communication and understanding. Also, a person tends to experience more emotional balance and stability, helping even in their pursuit of success.

We may take the unconditional love of our families as something for granted, but we should be careful to reciprocate as well.
We should ensure we reciprocate and never take that love for granted.
Family will always love us unconditionally and be with us during hard times
Yes, and that's what a family bond brings about.
Thank you.
