My Fan-Art of Kaiju No. 8

Kaiju No.8, is a fast paced action packed sci-fi anime which I earnestly ask those who haven't watched it to take out the time to watch it.

This post is not a review of the anime but a Fan-Art of the protagonist of the anime, Kafka Hibino's Kaiju, Kaiju 8. Kafka Hibino deemed a failure after successive failure attempts to join the Japan defence force to fight against monsters (Kaijus) but in a sudden turn of event, he eventually became one of them, the monsters which he had sworn to fight against. So from the human weakling, Kafka Hibino, he turns to a Kaiju which fights other Kaijus.

This Fan-Art is about the Kaiju No.8. character.

Below are the materials I used in the production of the art:

1. A4 paper
2. Pencils ( HB pencil and charcoal pencils)
3. Eraser
4. Coloured pencil

Here in the first stage, I made an outline of the two horns on the character's head with HB pencil ensuring it's light to avoid much mistakes which can be easily corrected.

Secondly, I proceeded with the the sketch of the face which consiste of eyes, nose, teeth, etc.

In the third step, I continued with sketching of the torso.

The fourth stage is where I completed the sketch of the Kaiju 8 character.

And finally, in the fifth stage I shaded the character and also used my colour pencil to complete the work.
