So over the weekend, I was looking for what to read when I stumbled on this powerful book. It's titled "The Four Agreements" and trust me guys, this book is like a treasure map that's meant to guide us towards our personal freedom and happiness.

The Four Agreements written by Don Miguel Ruiz is based on ancient Toltec wisdom. Trust me, you don't need to worry yourself over this because it's not as complicated as it sounds😂. I would want us to think of this book as a simple book even though it has some powerful rules in it which we can use to live our best lives.

You might want to ask what powerful rules does this book really contain right? I will do well to explain a little about these rules which are the four agreements, without giving out too much because I would want you guys to find a way to read this book.

So the first agreement here is the agreement to "Be impeccable with your word." This simply means you must learn how to speak with honesty and kindness, using your words to uplift yourself and others. I want you to imagine your words as magic spells, do you know that what you say can shape your reality and that of those around you? You should always choose your words wisely, and let them be a force for good even in the world.

Next, we have "Don't take anything personally." I believe this is one of the problem. most people have. They take things too personal and it ends up affecting them a lot. No doubt, it is very easy to get caught up in what people do or say, but we should always remember that these people's actions are a reflection of what they belief and have experienced and not yours. So, we are adviced not to let other people's drama become your own. Instead, let us focus on staying true to ourselves and our own journey.

The next one is "Don't make assumptions." Times without number most of us have jumped into conclusions without really knowing the full story. It's important we know today that assumptions leads to misunderstandings and this can hurt feelings alot. We are told that instead of making assumptions, we are to practice clear communication. So, if you're unsure about something, learn to ask questions instead of assuming. It is far better to find a way to understand something instead of making assumptions that can cause unnecessary conflict.

Finally, the last of the agreement which isn't the least is "Always do your best." Now this particular one is all about giving your all no matter what it takes. It's normal that your best will vary from day to day because you are human but the most important here is to always show up and give everything your full effort. Trust me guys, you will definitely feel proud of your actions by doing this, and of course, this will be a proof that you're living up to your potential.

So guys, let's talk about why these agreements matter. These agreements are like roadmap that can be used to navigate life's ups and downs. When we follow these agreements, we are unknowingly, unlocking a sense of inner peace and freedom that's truly liberating.
