The Pain of "I Will Tell You Later"

Hello everyone, I want to share a story that has been bothering my soul so badly. You know how it is when someone comes up to you all of a sudden and tells you he or she has something to tell you but will do that later and not now?

Honestly, this is one of the things that gets on my last nerve. I mean, why come to drop such bombshell of curiosity on me and then decide to play hide and seek with the actual story? I really don't know how you guys see this but to me, it's just so annoying.

Recently a friend of mine walked up to me and told me that he has got some mind blowing gist for me. Now, I was so eager to hear this mind blowing gist but the next thing he told me was that he would be telling me all about it later. I was so furious that I gave him a side eye and asked him what kind of game was that. I told him to just tell me now instead of keeping me in suspense since he already told me that it was a mind blowing gist and now I am so eager to know what the gist was all about.

Instead of him to tell me about it, he ended up telling me that he can't say it now and that I should wait till when he is ready to do so. Like seriously, why would someone just come and put such tension on me? I started pondering on the situation, thinking of what the mind blowing gist might be but I just couldn't think of any.

I started wondering why someone would bring a juicy tale to my doorstep and then act like they're the keeper of the Holy Grail. I began to think maybe the story was too intense, and he thought I might pass out or something if he had told me about it. Or perhaps, he was worried I will go insane after I must have heard it. Different thoughts started coming to my head. That's how I turned into Sherlock Holmes, trying to decode this mystery.

I know I am not the only one that have experienced this since it seems like this "I will tell you later" has become a trend. We tend to now see people just walk in on others and drop a bombshell, and then bounce out, leaving the person hanging. Seriously, this is like like a mind game which I dislike so much.

This got me thinking, if you don't want to tell the perosn that moment, why mention it to the person in the first place? Why mess with people's curiosity? Or is it a new hobby to see people's vexed face after you must have told them you won't be telling them the news now but later?

So guys, that's how I walked around town with my curiosity trailing me like an annoying sidekick. Can you imagine that I am still waiting for my friend to come tell me the mind blowing news till now? I just hope that by the time he finally decides to tell me, my curiosity would still be intact. Infact I think I am not even interested in hearing thr news again. Let him go with his mind blowing news.

Have you experienced this before? If you have, please tell me how you handled the situation in the comment section.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Totally true, I hate that they do that to me, I call them The Kings of False Marketing, much ado about nothing, to then have you as a zombie, waiting to hear that super news that never comes, I have taken to stopping them and telling them, If you are not going to tell me now, Shut Up!!!! And they don't tell me anything, so we are all happy hahahaha.
