Today I want to talk about an old graphic design created by me during the Christmas period. I created it specifically to be printed in one color. The starting idea came to me thinking of the well-known song “Jingle Bell”. I wasn't yet born, and I certainly not be able to indicate its publication with certainty, but a search on the web showed me that it should date back to the year 1957, sung by Bobby Helms. It has been repeated several times over the years, the one I have heard several times is the original. I don't know if you have the song in mind, if you want you can search it on the web, I found it on Youtube AT THIS LINK

But what does this have to do with my graphic design? Well, it has to do with the writing that you may have noticed in the cover image, which is the first component of graphic design and also the most important. In this case, I wanted to propose to different guise out the phrase "Jingle Bell Rock" replacing it with "Single Bells Rock". Let's put it this way: for a Christmas... a bit more as-single.

I have broken down the image, leaving only the writing. As you can see below, I wanted to trace a reference to many musical genres, trying to fill the spaces as much as possible and then giving the figure of “Rock” word the importance it deserved, dictated by the original idea.

The a-bit-vintage effect, or those cracks you see on the letters, isn't actually present in the graphic file. They are only due to the fact that I obtained the images from a photo taken with my smartphone, from which I had to remove the darker portions of the elaborate.

The second component is made up of three figures, even if at first glance it would not seem like it. You can see it below. I think the two most obvious are the Christmas ball hanging from the S, on your left, and the one representing a girl, on your right. The third, and last one, is the one in the background, now hardly recognizable. In its original form - from which I decided to eliminate many parts with a pattern of circles and lines of various sizes - it had to represent a turntable. To be honest, I would have liked to eliminate the entire part around the disc, but I decided to leave it to take up an entire A4 page.

Once finished, I printed everything on a medium-transparency film and started the transposition in screen printing, taking advantage of an empty space left during the work. The result is what you see in the figure below.

To get this color, I used some leftovers, arriving at a medium gray with a slightly bluish tone. I printed the graphics on a long sleeve t-shirt, the one you see in the cover image, and that I propose below.

Just to give an author's touch, I decided to print a previously created graphic file on the back. Some time ago I also published something about it. In practice, I created a signature - SDStyle - to distinguish the graphics I created, especially those with a more playful tone. I then used that signature inside another graphic, a kind of plate, complete with fixing screws and a unique code: obviously, there is nothing official in this.

And in short, nothing else: that's all. I'm done boring you, and I say goodbye. But I leave a P.S.

The P.S. = If by chance you were interested in my graphics, a project in the crypto landscape (NFTify) allowed me to temporarily open a shop for the sale of NFTs. My goal would be to use these NFTs to transfer the rights to reuse the graphic designs I make (usually in a non-exclusive way, but it is also possible exclusively). If you feel like it, TAKE A LOOK at it or write a comment here. At the moment, I only published two graphic designs, but in multiple copies.

And nothing ... Hello again!
