Absolutely "normal"

It seems like, making complaints was the original Dave would do day in day out. Since the government announce we're going back to normal, so I shall behave like a normal Dave, to complain the shit out of a pee hole.

Last week, there's a huge number of occupants at the park, people can hardly walk. This week, it seems going back to "normal". Not really normal' normal, but somewhat normal. We can see kids running around, there's a lot less serious faces like last week when the country newly opened. There's so many "pretend" jogger going around, where my walking speed would over take some of them.

image.png

This week, they don't even pretend anymore. Once again, I just don't understand people anymore. I love perfume, but wearing perfume going to the park for a jog is just the craziest thing I came across. Was the perfume cheap? Too much leftvoers after the lockdown?

Sky is rather blue, and we're coming back to warm season again. Despite there's a good amount of rain, but still the humid and the heat made my skin stupid sweaty and sticky. I have a feeling if I throw myself to the wall, I will stick for at least 3 seconds before fall off from the wall.

image.png

I headed to the "no view" side of the park, and no surprise there's absolutely no one here. As if totally back to normal. Only serious jogger will use this route.

How normal is normal? Well, when I eat a lot of Subway sandwich, that is really normal. I wouldn't mind to have this everyday.

This is actaully the 3rd McDoanld's I'm visiting the same afternoon. The first two was having a longest queue I've ever seen, so I decided to change outlet. In the end, I stopped searching and make do with this one. And guess one, that white car cut in to my lane and squeeze in front of me. I am not sure if this is my usual me, as I would have use the almighty honk and high beam. But hey, post covid yo. Besides, I remember the kids show from the Paddington bear, I'm just going to give the fella a hard stare and hopefully she gets it how upset I was. And I think it work. She parked the car and walked in to order take away instead of drive through with me queueing behind her.

image.png

Notice some unusual packaging between those McDonald's food?

image.png

Add on promotion, RM1 for an iced latte, I mean why not? Rather than drinking soft drinks yo.

image.png

Now this is my own coffee which I bought from a Chinese shop around there.

image.png

I decided to take fried rice with curry sauce, and a few pieces of fried fish fingers. Nto exactly sure what's going on with my mind, I did not get myself a burger.

image.png

We have a lot less beautiful sky recently as it has always been greyish most of the time. So happen, this day we have a purple sky, so I took a shot and share it with you.

image.png

Dinner was multiple sharing platter, as we ordered sweet and sour pork ball, spicy fried squid, and a huge bowl of walnut and pork soup made by home minister's mom. Was a busy weekend, and I still have a ton of photographs I took but never been use. But I think I will use the fresh ones, rather than trying to go back and think what was happening during that time.

I think it's crazy that they wear perfume while exercising.

I can totally imagine that as it's the same in the Philippines. It's crazy humid. The foods look pretty delish, though. ^^ And I hope people would practice respect when driving as well. xD

And ohh! The perfume stuff? I don't like that either. T_T

Exactly. Stupidly sticky here !

As for the driving, I guess it happens everywhere around the world. And it's nothing we can do about it other than wish them good luck. Not like we can take things into our own hand. I can start cursing in the car, but that doesn't solve the problem of me being cutting queue.

On a side note, wish I have a chance to visit the Philippines 🙂 we have one of the authentic Filipino cuisine here by the name of Laguna.

As expected with tropical places.

That's true... not sure in your country but cuttingvin line doesn't only apply in cars. It's really annoying. People just don't know how to follow rules at times. XD

Ohh... that's cool! I hope you can visit the Philippines someday! :)

Dinner looked good, and no surprise about the lines with McDonald's.

Did this fast food chain get business like this pre Covid in your area?

I don't think Covid could have made much difference with McDonald's sales here because the lines have always been like that here.

The food delivery services are booming here though.. I bet Domino's LOVES the plandemic. and Grubhub..

Great post man, always enjoy your photos and thoughts :)

Hey buddy. Thanks. For McDonald's drive through, they only happen DURING peak hours such as lunch or dinner. It never in between. That time I went was already way past lunch hour, wasn't expect to be this crowded.

Dave is back in full force! I laughed about the perfume thing. Before my tuk-tuk days when I used to ride a moto everywhere, I would always to choose to drive behind a diesel truck instead a moto with three young Cambodian ladies on it. It is actually easier to breather behind a diesel truck than 3x combined powerful scent of cheap Cambodian perfume.

I haven't got a chance to smell cheap perfume on young Cambodia girl, but I survive my local cheap perfume at the mall. I only have problem when people are sweating. That smell will reminds me of garbage truck 😅
