如果有人說假日是跟家人一起團聚的好時光，那麼拉仔跟你說這個是我們家放牛的日子。娃娃其實一直嚷嚷著，自從開放以來，都還沒正正式式到外面去遊玩一哈，所以我們趁著今天放假，帶著小老虎出去遊山玩水了。

On a public holiday or weekend, what would you do? Ofcourse, if you have a family, it's a good time for outing. Even if you don't, why not head to a recreational park for a walk or exercise.

還記得好幾年前我們來過這裡一次，那時候第一次我們還不知道這裡有個小溪，可以讓娃們在這裡戲水。這次，我們可說是有備而來的！連鞋子都是穿拖鞋，準備到了小溪旁，鞋子一飛，就可以跳下去了！

Faintly recall several years ago, we came here for the first time, to found out there's a small stream inside the park. This time, we're prepared! We only wearing snickers, so we can toss it aside and jump into the stream!

不同的是，這次我們才來到這裡，馬上看到一隻大蜥蜴在游泳。娃娃本來興高采烈的準備下水，馬上靜下來看著池塘裡面的生物，在懷疑人生了。

The only difference is, this time we witness a huge monitor lizard on our way in. Kid was originally very excited heading to the stream, now that he's wondering what if this giant lizard swim back up.

趁還沒介紹到小溪那一環，我們先來研究一下地理。 Kiara 地區並沒有自己的地方政府，而是其中一個被吉隆坡聯邦市轄區徵用的地點。地形上，其實Kiara是屬於八打靈市的土地。

Well, before the picture goes to the stream, let's take a closer look at what Kiara is. It's a piece of land from Petaling Jaya, where the federal government had taken over. So now, Kiara is part of Kuala Lumpur.

跟其他地方一樣，只要是被市轄區徵用的特權土地，地價都會翻幾倍。如果你認為能住在這裡附近的非富則貴，那你就大錯特錯了，並不是全部都是有錢人。這裡附近的房子不新，換句話說這裡的老市民以前買下來的房價不高。雖說把房子賣了可以大賺一筆，可是賺來的買不回這種有屋有地可以種瓜種豆的房地產。

Just like anywhere around the world, and place that has been looted by the federal government, automatically the land become very important(and expensive for that matter). If you think all residence staying at this area are rich, you're probably wrong. Many of them bought this place years before the government raise its status. Despite their property wroth millions, but if they sell it, they may never be able to buy back similar kind of residence.

也由於地方不屬於高尚住宅區，市民還是比較和藹的。連市管也比較有人性。這樣一個小公園，還是免費開放給市民進行休閒活動，過來跑步、野餐也是可以的。話說，現在免收費的公園真的不多，不少受保護森林已經被私營化。你想像一下到附近小區散步，發現有人坐在入口跟你收過路費的情形吧。馬國已經淪陷面臨破產，極有可能是下一個斯里蘭卡。話題有些政治敏感，我們還是回到正題吧。

Since it's NOT exactly the kind of high end residential, walking over there doesn't feel the kind of pressure of going into expensive place. Best part of it, the park is free for all to use. The country economu is doing pretty badly due to mismanagement. Some other places in the country, many recreational park or forest had been privatised, and they need door fee. We all know why, as we're probably not far behind Sri Lanka. Well, that's too sensitive kind of political issues, let's go back to our topic.

小溪是從後面，滿家樂山的山水留下來而成的（沒錯，滿家樂是一座小山）。這裡沒有中文名，因為Kiara是一個地區名，而Mount是山。所以大家都為這裡起名叫 Mount Kiara，譯音滿家樂。溪水清涼，不過不鼓勵張開嘴巴喝。你自己數一下，照片中有多少雙腳浸泡在小溪裡。

The stream actually came from the mountain, which is at the back of this residential area, which called Mont Kiara. Disregard the Chinese presentation above as I'm explaining how they got the Chinese name from the romanised pronunciation of English name. Water is quite clear, but try not to drink it. Take a look at how many pair of feet in that water.

小溪的上流比較乾淨、比較少人，不過河石很多，而且很滑。別以為自己很有把握，一不小心跌一跤，可大可小。擦傷小事，摔到頭破血流至少還看得到，可是內傷就難說了。以前聽過有個故事，個年輕人不小心滑倒，則身壓到腰部腎臟破裂，內傷還不知道。幾天后全身腫脹，肺積水進醫院差點死掉。至於證據，無法給你。可能只是民間傳說，說來嚇人的，你可以不信，去試試跌爆腎，如果不死回來告訴我是否真的。

The upper stream could have been a tiny little bit better, but the river stone are quite slippery. Don't you be over confidence of your own capability. If you fall on these, breaking an ankle could be small case, breaking your neck, that's the end. There was one story going around, a guy fall at the river due to the slippery stone, and hit his waist. Little does he know he fractured his kidney, had a concussion. Several days later he passed out of pneumonia and sent to the ER, almost had him killed. How true the story is? I don't know, can't tell. If you wish to find out by yourself? I can't stop you.

至於小溪的水，不深。最深也不過到膝蓋左右。如果想游泳，還是不鼓勵。溪水雖然清涼，不過前提是上流可能有其他水源加入。再說，上流可能有人在洗腳，所以還是盡量減少嘴巴進水的可能性。

The stream is relatively shallow, even the deepest site I got to, it's no deeper than my knee. Not recommended for swimming, just won't know if there's a drain from the residential area blasting dirty water into it. Besides, had mentioned above many feet submerged into the water. So, it's better to keep your mouth away from the water.

上面已經提過，這裡的雖然是聯邦市轄區，不過仍然保持免費讓民眾使用，所以只要是公共假期或是學校假期，這裡必定非常多人。圖為小老虎蹲著溪水和玩沙。看到他蹲得那麼低，忽然想起老外為什麼都沒有這個動作呢？還是只有我們亞洲人有蹲的習慣呢？

Despite this is the federal territory, it remain free admission for the public, this is one thing that I truly appreciate. During school holiday, public holiday, people sworm in like going for black Friday sale. On a side note, noticed junior did a perfect Asian squat. Wondering how Asian does it so well.

另外一提是這裡也有很多野生猴子。別小看這些小傢伙，他們要是被惹毛，你別想好過。猴子是非常記仇的動物。它如果決定要搶你東西，那是因為它認為是食物。如果你不讓它拿，就算它打不過你，它會回去搬救兵過來團滅你。幸好，這裡的猴子對人類都習慣了。不要故意去調戲它，遠處觀望是沒有問題的。

Extra topic, there's ton of monkeys around. Note that this is a forest reserve, therefore monkeys are free to move around. If they trying to snatch from you, don't resist. They just wanted their food. The moment you try to fight them, they may not win, but they can go back and call for help, and you're probably going to get a gang raid. It's better to keep sole distance.

公園告示牌寫著不要餵食猴子，不是隨便說說的。別以為手裡拿著香蕉親手交給它，它會感激你。它可能會誤會你不讓它拿，反過來咬你。真的有誠意，放一旁等他們自己去拿好了。野生動物始終還是獸性的，話未說完兩頭猴子已經在亭子屋頂開始做愛做的事了。娃娃說為什麼那猴子用力撞另外一頭猴子。你認為可以跟娃說它們在玩耍嗎？不擔心娃娃在學校找他同學“玩耍”嗎？所以，大人也要在這些猴子面前準備好給娃娃性教育。不然，後果自負。

There's signboard at the entrance reminding visitor to avoid feeding monkeys, not for no reason. You may be thinking cool to handover food to these monkeys, but they might take it wrong thinking you are not letting go of "their" food. If you must give food to them, leave it aside and let them take it from there. Whilst we're checking out these little rascal, a pair of them started doggy style at the roof. Junior ask, why did the monkey shaking the other monkey. Do you think telling the young ones the monkeys are playing a games? Try to think again if the kid do this to his school mate. Therefore, be prepare to give sex ed at the public places is very important too 🤣

公園裡面的人行道長度是一公里。告示牌上有地圖顯示每一個觀景點和運動器材。既然不用錢的，市民可以隨時進來散步，使用運動器材，甚至戲水。至於下雨天的危險性，河水應該不會怎麼大。問題是，馬來西亞的天氣，行雷閃電也劈死不少人。奉勸大家還是不要下雨天進去玩了，畢竟水是導電的。

The entire walking path is 1km in the park. There is this map erected at the beginning of the track, showing places of exercise equipments and also different recreational, all are free to use. However, avoid going there during the rain. The stream may not be that rush, but the lightning could be a problem. There are many cases of people got lightning strikes and killed. Not particularly pointing at this place, so far haven't heard of any unfortunate event, but we can never be too careful.

回程時必須再經過一個小湖泊，剛才看到蜥蜴的地點，不過這邊是湖的另外一邊。這邊比較靠近山腰，所以有樹木遮頭比較沒那麼熱。這裡還看到烏龜探頭呼吸。至於為什麼會有烏龜，這個不好說。馬來西亞就算是馬來人不信奉佛教的也學會了放生。所以，馬國的風氣非常壞。你不抓它回來，放什麼生？也不考慮下烏龜是雙棲動物，這樣丟進湖里，烏龜可能活得不健康呢。

On the way back to the parking lot, we need to pass by a small lake where the stream flows to. The same lake we saw the huge monitor lizard, but on the other side, closer to the mountin. With trees blocking the sun, it feels less heat and can even see turtle breathing at the surface. Don't ask me how they got here. Malaysian society has been greatly influenced by the Chinese culture practicing of "saving animals from captivity". I guess that's how these turtle ended up here, where idiots doesn't know turtle also need land time.

最後，必須說一下該公園的開放時間是早上七點到傍晚七點。至於其他的安全提示和警告，可以看圖理解。特別注意圖裡面右下方第九個項目，別以為帶個女朋友來親親愛愛沒問題。分分鐘被人投訴，抓你去宗教局，開罰單小事情，萬一被控行為不檢點，準備洗屁股去坐牢了。好啦，懲罰是給不聽話的人的。你不是猴子，你要壞壞，可以去酒店再壞，只要不騷擾到鄰居，應該不會有問題的。至少我沒有被抓過。

Well, before we end this, let's look at some rules. Park opens at 7am and close at 7pm. There's basic rules need to follow, basically the picture is self-explanatory. However, do take note at the lower right corner, picture number 9. Don't you try to bring your girlfriend here and make out under the tree. It's not ok in this country. Getting a fine is small matter, I'm only worry if you get charged for public nuisance, could ended up in jail for 3 months yo. Anyway, only criminal worry of punishment. Laws are meant to be bent. If you have to do it, get a room. As long you guys doesn't disturb your neighbor too much, you'll be fine. At least I have not been prosecuted before 🤣
