Eid ul-Fitr 2026
In Malaysia, we called this religious celebration as Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. No I'm not a Muslim, but I do have many Muslim friends. It is an important celebration amongst all the Muslims as this was the end of their fasting month.

I didn't visit any of them this year, or I will have to explain my condition all over again one by one. I do took time to write a customize message to each of them(rather than forwarding generic festive greetings) to greet them. I will be back for my favourite rendang beef and coconut milk steamed rice. Above picture was taken at the park during my morning walk.

Traffic is still kinda heavy despite news reporter stated the city has been evacuated. I believe many decided to stay back in town this time around, as the Chinese new year just went passed a month ago.

Lent is still going on, food choices are limited. Due to my lack of taste, I don't really mind how they actually taste anyway. I can feel the tongue curling sensation, I know it should be "salty", but my brain tells me different thing. It's the kind of weird feeling, that I need to relearn what is going on with my body.

I believe the vege fried rice is damn good. But to my surprise, the vege egg noodle tasted even better. Funnily, I know its salty, but my brain tells me it's sweet 😅 no it's not like I feel like eating cheese cake, somehow the rice flour sweetness has been amplified in this case. This vege dinner costs us some 70 bucks. Such a premium price to pay!

Again, following the the in law meet up, we went to the arcade so the kids can have some fun and sweat it out. I do wanted to go for roller coaster ride, but if I do that, there's a chance that I will stroke again 😅 besides, with the anti-clot and aspirin medication, if I have a hemorrhage, then there's nothing can stop me from internal bleeding. So yeah, more vege noodle at a non-vegan restauran. Amazingly, they taste even better then the vegetarian restaurant we went earlier. Next week is palm Sunday, which means we have 2 weeks to go. I am looking forward to a better recovery. I want to contribute in the church choir during holy Thursday, good Friday and Easter Sunday.
ah I like I Fu Mie / Ta Mie and I haven't eaten it for years. Maybe I should seek one later next week
!BBH !ALIVE
I'm surprised that you called out the traditional name of this noodle. They don't call this I Fu Mie anymore since 90s. We called it Yi Mie for the sake of cutting it short 😅
People here still call it I Fu Mie. Although sadly many can not differ I Fu Mie from Lo Mie...
That seems quite expensive considering where you live. Is this normal?
The restaurant is inside one of the high end mall near a quite expensive residential area, so it's kinda "expected". 70 as in ringgit. In dollar that's like 15 bux
You had a stroke? Oh dear 😥. Have a speedy recovery!
Thank you very much
