First Christmas without him

This is the first Christmas celebration without my father with us. I guess it was a little easier for me, than the rest of the family member. I don't usually come back and celebrate with them, as i will usually stuck in Kuala Lumpur due to wife need to attend Catholic mass.

Mom is taking baby step on her journey of recovery, we saw that as a gift from God. According to my siblings, she is now more willingly to go out, and she eat a alot more than previously.

We decided to meetup for a Christmas eve lunch with our small family, so the sweet and sour is a compulsory dish for the small kids.

Spicy sour fish is nice too. Having this dish is a gauranteed rice sweeper as the spicy and sour sauce is a very good company of white rice.

With mom around, nobody else can skip the greens. This is not some ordinary green, the dish is called 4 seasons. It consist of brinjal, long beans, smelly bean and ladyfingers, panfried with shrimp paste.

We also order this dish of pork belly simmer with salted fish. Totally not expected to be this big of a portion. One of our naphew is stuck outstation as he's having exam, so we got one less young punk to help finish these tasty dishes.

Last but not least, a huge bowl of sesfood mix bowl. Sea cucumber, fish, squid, mussels, and many more. Its a traditional bowl of expensive seafood mix, unfortunately I don't really know how to appreciate it.

And the damn phone once in a while will act like this despite i have waited 3 seconds before moving my camera away. The shutter speed can sometime become shitty. Probably one of the worst camera phone i had in my life.

Since we did not attend the midnight vigil, we decided to join the morning mass. We all know, Christmas day is one of the most important celebration for almost svery christians, we are anticipating heavy traffic.

In order to beat the traffic, we make an effort to get our ass off the bed by 6am, and leave the house by 6:30. By the time we arrived at the parking lot, there's only two cars there(including ours). Its a huge success!

Church already cranking up their air condition, and there's still absolutely no one else other than us. We didn't see another family from the other car, probably they're one of the church security?

We took our own sweet time taking pictures and going through messages, replying to our friends and families, whilst taking pictures of the well decorate altar.

Not sure what is wrong with my eyes, the cow at the right side keeps on reminding me of storm trooper. As if i saw one of the trooper laying sideways beside the manger 🤣

Basically, i like the building very much. I usually like catholic mass also. However, when i hear church organs playing tango tune or cha cha, i will feel restless. With the very loud choir, its a perfect way to spoil my Christmas mood. I wish to hear if the Church will perform Gregorian chant with Christmas songs 🤣

Oh one more thing i need to highlight. That bright star decor is very disturbing. Totally reminded me of the upside down devil sign.

With the final blessing from Fr. Anthony, mass adjourned and everybody go infront taking selfies with baby Jesus.
