Not a Covid update

Hi guys! A quick update here. I've been busy the past couple of days. A very good friend of mine, a.k.a. work colleague is having a difficult time. So I offered her to help and got myself into a deeper trouble.

Anyway, things quickly escalated. One of her family member passed away this morning, so I'm sure I will continue to assist her client on her absent next coming week. I'm not complaining, matter of fact I did thought of making this post, hence I snapped a few photos on my way to pay my respect to her family.

Seremban is a very peaceful small town. I'm not sure if it is for other people, but it's a significant part of my work life. In 2013, I got transferred to this small town with a small carrier advancement, a small pay raise. Since then I started to fall in love with this small town.

If you're a tourist, you wouldn't wanna visit here, because this town offer absolutely nothing, as it was anywhere in between Kuala Lumpur and Malacca. If you're in Kuala Lumpur, we know you're here for the urban visit. If you're in Malacca, you're probably going for the historical stuff, but Seremban is just a very livable, 70km away from Kuala Lumpur. Food is affordable, people are generally nicer here, it's like a double of my own home town Ipoh, with 1 main difference, Seremban people are less sarcastics.

The last I went to this mall was several years ago when @txcowboy54 came back for a home visit, we hungout at this mall for a brief moment. We thought it wouldn't last, but it prove us wrong. This mall even went through the entire horrible pandemic. As a matter of fact, there's a lot more tenant than the last time we came here. Anwway, it was a touch and go trip since I'm only here to drop my condolence and pay respect. After done, I left the place and hopefully one day to come back full day so I can enjoy food and take more photos for your guys.

Despite the busy lifestyle I'm currently trying to cope, I am still making it a habit to visit the park for a quick walk. It was not sufficient sweat, but it's better than not sweating at all. Took a 45 minutes brisk walking and call it a day.

image.png

The girls are not hungry, so left me and junior went out. We're not exactly sure if KFC is a better choice since by the time we reached the mall, it was already 2pm. 2nd KFC meal of the month, let's hit it before end of November.

There's a lot more happening at home, as we're planning to totally redo the vinyl flooring... as suggested by home minister I should do it all by myself so we can save up some serious professional fee if hire someone else to do it. I got the house cleaned, and most importantly is I also got the sofa thoroughly cleaned.

Thanks buddy. At this point, the virus is no longer a real threat. The hidden agenda behind how government and media treat this, is. All of a sudden, the government said S brand vaccine is no longer available for free administration, but you can pay to get it at your local clinic 🤣 so the government has no idea they import these life saving vaccines?

Seems like things have been hectic bro.

That was kind of you to offer with help and paid respects for your colleague's family member.

Glad you're still getting out for fresh air in the park and maintaining things, you're doing a good job and hopefully you are getting enough rest.

Cool photos as always too. Seremban photo has a Gotham/Idiocracy look going on. Times are getting strange.

Couldn't help but notice the shrubbery and trees have this well manicured look in the park too, despite seeming so desolate. No one is visiting the parks but they still keep them well maintained? Maybe it's just the time of day you are there. With the parkways here, only the weekends seem packed with people and their pets, but during the colder months and times during the weekdays it seems pretty empty.

I see the colonel popped into your photos too. Careful, he'll haunt your dreams.

I used to work in that town, taking daily commute of 4 hours to go to work. To me, it's not a big deal. But I know it will be important for her to know someone does care.

The Gotham part of Seremban is, it's not that Gotham. More like idiocracy. If you have experience living in different suburbs, you can tell generally what are the "same difference" between them. This Seremban town is very similar to Ipoh, where my home town is. They spoke the same language, they drive seriously slow. Had a lot of old buildings. Food are cheap. But at the same time, it's also different, in terms of how generally people think and behave. In my home town, if you try to overtake someone because they're slow, they will speed up and become aggressive. In seremban, they just don't give a damn and continue their own journey at their own speed 🤣 at my home town, if you go to a famous restaurant trying to order food directly from the chef, he will ask you gtfo or sit-down quietly. But here the operator will tell you how frustrating it was to have so many customers turn up at the same time 🤣 overall, my town people, you can see it from myself. More light hearted, more lively, and can become aggressive.

I'm gonna put all fast food to a bad on next lent season, abstain from colonel and the clown.

Sorry to hear about this, but you're a kind guy to go out of your way to do all of this. I think it might be safe to say we'll be seeing some DIY content coming from you very soon 👷‍♂️.

Thanks buddy. I don't know if I will have DIY story, it's a tedious cut and paste job, need to move stuff around and replace the flooring but that's all. It's probably a few days work, but the content is only 4 lines.

Move the furniture.

Take out the old and disgusting flooring.

Replace the new vinyl flooring

Put the furniture back. Don't drag it, or it spoil the new vinyl and we gotta repeat from step 1 again 🤣

understandable, but somehow I think you can make any situation become content if you toss in a bit of Dave humor.
