The most well spent equipment in my life
I've been looking for a job for a year now. For the first time, my future employer requires everything to be in digital format, even the questionnaire I'm supposed to fill up, I will have to print it, sign it, and digitised it before I can upload to my potential employer.

I was thinking up and down, searching hi and low for a place I can crash into, open my job application website, print the docs out, and scan them. I did found digital image shop that willing to print for me and scan with a cost. But then, they won't allow me to use their computer, they want me to give my password so they can login to my job application page.

You've already know my decision on that. I'd rather NOT use their service given job application is a very important task, giving out password is an even worst compliance issue. I'd continue to search for cyber cafe, only I realized there's no cyber cafe anymore 😮 at least, not within the residential area around this region.

Time is running out, and I'm only given 48 hours to complete the tasks. i understand we all deserved an extra chance if we ask for extension, but then how bad this experience will reflect on my personality? With that in mind, I decided to purchase a combo package of printer and scanner.

Back in the days, when I was a computer technician working for my cousin, I know one of this will cost me an arm or leg. You have no idea the bunch of young kids "borrowing" customers equipment to scan Cindy Crawford posters from the center fold 🤣

In my mind, these are the elite equipment, only the professionals, the rich fag, and ofcourse the perverted lil rascal like me will save enough money to buy one of these and scan all the penthouse magazines collection 🤣

I must admit, I have never pay attention to the price tag of these kinda combo image processor in my entire life. Knowing I can "borrow" from customers equipment, why would I spend money to buy one? The moment the salesman asked for my budget, I said I only wanted something I can use one time for print and scan, as long it's cheap and cheerful, and he led me to this baby.

The price tag?! OMG! It's RM129. Dude, convert it into dollar, that's like $30 with full scanner and printer function. Best of all, colour cartridges are included!

The salesman knows what am I thinking when I staring at the colour cartridge, he told me don't even think about it. The stock cartridge carry about 50 print but that's all. So, don't go wasting alll the pages on printing out Playboy's posters just yet 🤣

With the blessing of my tiny computer knowledge and experience, I managed to set it up in a very short time, and started printing naked women photos my job applications. Porbably one of the 30 bucks I felt most well spent in my life.

Not trying to rain on your parade but I have had very bad experiences with Pixma printers in the past. If you use it a lot you should look at getting one of those custom exterior ink wells so that you don't have to spend $40 on ink cartridges every month.
I'm quite pleased to say that I don't own a printer at all anymore and I hope I never do!
Yes. I used to work in the IT industry. When customer brought in this kinda combo image machine, we do the below.
Technically, it's a no problem machine, because the most expensive part is the print head (the inkjet) itself, which is IN the cartridges. As long the cartridge doesn't break, this kinda stuff can last for a very long time.
Oh another note, the external ink tank is one of the best solution. The less one takeout the cartridge, the longer it will last.
