KTZ remember to eat

The local Chinese community has a big confusion with their root. Well, not exactly like forgetting they're Chinese, but more like confused which clan where they are from and what dialects they should speak or what kind of authentic recipe they should cook.

Well, as bad as it sound, it actually created the kind of unique flavor here. You don't get authentic Hong Kong style, neither original Shanghai flavor. But what do you get here is, definitely a little this and a little that. Princess got herself a bowl of manggo puree shaved ice. Manggo are so damn sweet, coupled with the shaved ice, it's a perfect recipe to create brain freeze!

I ordered a plate of Shanghai Chee Cheong Fun. CCF is actually localized Cantonese, and it means rolled flat noodles that somehow make it look like pig intestine. To give you a hint, Shanghai people do not eat flat noodles. So it's definitely something you don't get to eat in Shanghai, neighter in canto 🤣 I like the shrimp paste sambal (wait... sambal?)

The home minister has always been a huge fan of Tangyuan. Once again, the language has been heavily localized. It's supposed to be Tangwan. It's no other than hot bowl of boba soup. If you caramelized the brown sugar and flour it to make dough, it's the exact same recipe of boba.

I have also ordered my bowl of peanut soup. This is not what people usually enjoy, but it's definitely my cup of soup. Imagine when you're a kid, you sneak over to your mom's kitchen and scope a huge spoonful of peanut butter and lick it off? Now that you have a chance to drink it!

We decided to take a family photo of our desserts to be sure of the magnitude of sweetness blast through the internet, so you can feel it.

Originally, the home minister was saying she's too full for lunch, but then as soon as we arrived, she decided a bowl of fermented vege noodle soup with minced meat will be her lunch. True enough, I heard this is supposed to be authentic Shanghai recipe, but we have never tried the original, so I guess it makes no difference for us

Not forgetting a plate of ham and seaweed egg spring roll, the damn thing is very chewy and extremely tasty. We shared it with the princess since she didn't order the main course for her lunch.

After I finish my food, as soon as I start digging in my peanut soup, you can see the darker color surface as it's changing color due to oxidation, you know how fresh this soup is. Mind blowing peanut soup yo.

Worth repeatedly trying 🤣 not many knows how to make this peanut butter soup buttery smooth. On top of that, there are two different types of peanut soup recipes. One involved grinding the raw nuts, the one I'm having is roasted nuts.
