Diwali Kledang Hike

Throwing back couple of days ago, I was back in my home town to visit my parents, i decided to visit my favourite hill in the Perak state of Malaysia.

Journey to the hill side is about 15km. If you wish to catch the beautiful sunrise, better leave before 6am. From the entrance towards the gazebo observation deck is about 3km hike with paved road. Average walking speed can get you up there in about 45 minutes. If you're fit regular hiker, probably 25 minutes.

Other than sunrise, one can make use of the semi broke down facilities to do some light exercises. Air is extremely fresh provided other hill goer doesn't fart or wear perfume for the hike.

One can choose to continue the journey to the communication tower, but I've done that and found absolutely nothing to do and no view point worth at the peak, so trailing down for dim sum breakfast is the way to go.

There's enough view point on the way downhill, and if you're lucky to hike this hill next day from a heavy rain, you'll likely see the heavy and dense fog covering the entire city.

There's another view point at the middle section from the gazebo, where you can stop and have break. To me, going uphill is not that big of a deal, but the downhill impact is killing my knee joints.

A statue of Buddha is erected at the view point overseeing the city, combo with the chilling hill breeze, coupled with the running waterakes this place very relax and enjoyable.

The view point is properly nourished with different type of plants. Although they're beautiful, please refrain from plucking.

The guard rail is a little rusty and try not to be a hero or a selfie queen sitting on it or lean on it. Keep a safe distance from the edge, rest assured this is yet another great place to hangout at the Kledang hill.

Last but not least, other then human, beware of wild monkeys. They usually mind their own business. As an understanding human, avoid direct eye contact with any of them, or you're hinting them you want to deal with their business.

Yes. I like that place too. Too bad I don't stay there anymore. May be it's the rare opportunity I can visit makes it special 😅

Hey, I'm looking for a whale to sell my comments to, maybe I find it hahahaha, sometimes I feel unmotivated by the value of my posts, however I see yours for example and it's quite long, I'll have to write more, but it's hard for me, I don't talk too much, my job makes me focus more on the details than talking, well, let's look at things like this, if he's by my side you always smile, you don't talk much :)

Wow, that's such beautiful scenery (over the clouds). I would probably take 45 minutes to trek it and also to enjoy the views. Snoop Dogg Weed GIF

Thanks buddy. That is one beautiful and easy hill walk. Parking is free and no entrance fee. Very suitable for regular cardio exercise. If I ever move back to this place, I guess everyday before 9am I'm there.

Anyone go there for before dark sunset hikes? Cambodians believe in ghosts and mostly see wooded areas as negative places for negative spirits. Anyone timing there hike there too late in the afternoon could end up in a scary situation and have to fight off spirits all the way back down to the trailhead.

There are rumours and superstitious flying around. I didn't really pay much attention to that, but don't want to try and find out if it's real also. I like to do it in the morning for cooling air 🤪 However, some statistics shows evening hike is actually benefit moe since the trees will be making whole day of oxygen already.
