Part 1: Mustafa Cendol

After the super sweaty art street stroll down, we're supposed to go back hotel, take a shower and rest. However, the adventure side of us haven't been able to reason with our action, off we went to the next food exploration.

Originally, we went to a very famous Cendol shop, but soon as we arrive there, found the shop were closed for 2 days. We turn around and asked Mr.Google if there's any near by Cendol shop we can visit, and we did managed to get here.

Cendol is a dessert treat our local love most. It's a combination of coconut milk, caramelized coconut sugar, and pandan jelly. Pour everything into shaved ice, and it's a brain freeze 🤣 optional, we can add sticky rice into the bowl, caramelized kidney bean, corn or even durian.

We also ordered a plate of rojak. It's a local salad dish. It's a mixture of diced cucumber, turnip slice, fried tofu and satey sauce as topping. I'm telling you, I can run out of mayonnaise, but I can't live without the almighty satey sauce when come to salad dish.

My kidney bean Cendol is marvelously great. It's sweet, but not to an extend I felt like getting diabetes. The bean is properly caramelized, the bean melts on my tongue and the juice rush through my through, I guess if I have an orgasm with my tongue, this is it, tongasm. Home minister ordered the Cendol Pulut, the sticky rice version. We shared the plate of salad, it's a marvelous combination, I feel healthy by just looking at them already! Best part of this is, it's Halal! To all my Muslim friends, must visit Mustafa Cendol in Kuantan! It's truly local and affordable. I guess me and home minister are the only tourists that got lost and crashed into this place!

Part 2: Satezul

After indulging in such wonderful Cendol tea break, I even have trouble trying to negotiate with the steering wheel because my stomach is so bloated to an extend stuck behind the steering wheel. How I wish the hotel has a bathtub so I can soak into hot water and relax.

There's not much going on at the TV, only a couple of local channels, but hardly anything worth me watch for more than 5 minutes, I'm mostly replying email and doing quotations for clients, whilst home minister making a long cello snore all by herself. After rested awhile, and it's time to head out and search for dinner again 🤣🤣🤣 this picture was taken at one of the most important road of the city, and anywhere around the city, the best landmark is probably the broadcasting tower.

Anyone from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor knows we got famous Kajang Satey. I think it's the same here in Kuantan for Satezul. We found this place from the internet, and let Google took us there. Initially we looked at the menu and thought it's quite expensive, almost same price as we're back in KL.

When the Satey arrived at our table, it's a pleasant surprise! I found myself guilty for ordering 20 stick of these Satey. 10 chicken(the above yellowish), and 10 beef sticks of BBQ meat. Each of these sticks are the thickness size of a banana.

As for the drink... I think this is the worst kind of local delight. Basically, the redness is the rose flavored syrup. Added into sweetened milk, mixed with water. That's what the home minister took. Mine? Even worst, it's an even bigger size, with the dark colored bottom, that's the coconut caramelized sugar 🤣 who add 3 sweets in 1 drink?

This has nothing to do with Satezul, but since the shop is the same road going to the famous East Coast Mall, we took the opportunity to go for a walk after the crazy dinner at Satezul and call it a day.

I gotta stop reading your posts when I'm hungry, makes me want to take a food holiday. How common is it for small businesses to be registered on Google Maps there? Here it's still very rare, and usually only a small portion of businesses in provincial capitals are computer savvy enough to do this. When it comes to finding a place to eat, it's still like the 1990s here, just have to ask locals, drive around aimlessly, etc.

Malaysia basically has everything on the Google. The problems being, they're not properly update, hence not accurate. Most of the time you find something interesting, head there and they're no longer in business, or shifted to somewhere else.
