The boss zone and my zone

The work situation isn't improving despite I'm giving my best effort to work with the current condition. The bosses are in their own zone and throwing down unreasonable demands. Not to say I'm being negative, but at this point of time, I don't see how one can survive here for the next five ~years~ months.

The verbal abuse had gone to another brand spanking new level. One of the sperior called me on a Saturday afternoon, giving instruction on what she needs. When I told her I don't have my computer with me because I'm on my way heading to church, guess what she reply me?

She said why have I been in the church all day? Well, to me this is not about religion or racism anymore, it's just pure insult. Weekend is my own time, they can argue I'm being paid over the weekend, but that doesn't mean they can tell me what to do during my own weekend.

Anyway, enough of those negativity. Enough is enough. I can choose to rant all day, but doesn't mean I can change a thing until I am able to find a new job. Special shoutout to my buddy @mineopoly now I have a new secret weapon called Dilligaf. Oh by the way, there's this new shop opened nearby the church. Indian restaurant for all you know. The Poori is quite ok,but not as bullet proof as the other old shop by the name of Kader.

My breakfast are still the same as usual, a plate of fried vermicelli and a glass of milk tea. I'm not trying to control or "trying to be healthy", but due to my lack of exercise lately, my bodyweight started climbing despite eating the same thing.

HSBC tower is nearby our office here. I have always been wondering how are they doing in that building. Sometimes I'm wondering who would pay for a parking that required drive in elevator? Can you imagine the time when everyone rush to go home for dinner?

my buddy @teohrene resigned recently. I hope it's not because of my negativity that causes her to make the move. I feel sad to lose her from my workplace, at the same time I felt grateful that she found a way out from this shit hole.

Since she's still serving her notice, I have not let go any of those chance to spent with her together. We often hangout at this Nan Yang cafe after lunch, their coffee are so thick that it can choke if we're not sucking the straw carefully.

Just the other day, my buddy Ed from Cameron Highland came to Kuala Lumpur ad wanted to have dinner with me, so we can catch up. I was blocked by this white car that's supposed to go on tow. It reminds me of myself about a year ago with my old car that always breakdown by the roadside and spoiling my plans over and over again.

Ed was my subordinate a couple of years ago. He was transfered to adifferent unit by the top management, so he ended up resigned from the job and started his own business. It wasn't easy for him, but I like him NOT being showing off Infront of me. We still have casual chat and we enjoyed each other's company very much.

Sometimes, life is about the little things that we enjoyed most. I'm thankful to have a chance to still type this post and share my new secret weapon (once again, thankful to @mineopoly showing the light). I am already happy with going to church, playing guitar for the church, sending my kids to church, helping to arrange te chairs at church. I like to spend time at the church during the weekend, regardless what my boss tells me. For that matter, I think will just NOT picking up their calls at all (during weekend/off work time)from now on, it's not like if I gaf they will gimme a rise. I will just go with my Dilligaf zone and the bosses can gaf themselves 🤣

Just dropping by briefly to say, "Great post, mate."
But first, let me enjoy reading this piece with its negative tone—even though I know it’s not great to read negative things first thing in the morning. Haha.
I think the photos of food and the beautiful sky are perfect for maintaining a yin-yang balance in this post.

I thank you for stopping by. Next time, if you see me start with rant, my post usually makes a drastic turn at the middle. So you look for a change of scenery picture, in this case the restaurant, and my tone changed from negative to positive 🤣

But that's ok if you dgaf. Who would want to read negative stuff first thing in the morning 🤣 this post already served my purpose, I wrote it down, expressed my feeling, now that I read back, it helped to heal myself by knowing why, so I can stop being that angry person again.

That writing style seems worth trying. Thanks for the inspiration. 😀

Pouring out emotions through writing is a form of therapy, too—and you’ve experienced the benefits firsthand. Maybe you could write a dedicated post about this and share it. Hehehe.

Outside of working hours I wouldn't pick up the phone or even look at a text message. It takes a certain faith to do our job and it takes another kind of faith to take the time off to recharge. We are not serving people, but we are serving the Lord and the Lord knows all about our troubles.

The process of writing is a healing process, even if it is "English writing". Your story is real and I hope many can relate.

It helps if we know that others have walked this journey before us.

Sorry I have omitted this, until this weekend, the bosses started to blast the group messages. This time, the issue wasn't pointing to my own client, I saw the phone buzz, I ain't tapping on that Whatsapp notification. The momentum start building up, 1 message, 2, 3, 5, 10 buzzes 😅 before mass end, the total messages already grind up to 58 and then suddenly the boss tagged me 🥲

Well, when tag came, I can't possibly be saying I didn't see nor didn't hear. So I had to go in and checkout what's the big deal they wanted from me. Lo and behold, the boss is asking why this figure not match(as if I can get my accounts team to turn on their work computer and check the payment for me). I dropped a one word reply "Monday" and silent the group chat from there on. I don't even want the phone vibrate.

I still don't know how to deal with this kinda crap, and I'm actively looking for any alternative job that pay somehow, remotely, even slightly lesser than my current one, I'll just take that. And no, I have no plan to explain to the bosses why do I leave so they can continue to be the boss of no one would ever like to reports to them 😃

You are doing the right thing,

Malaysian law covers a day of rest for workers but it seems this is overlooked.

https://www.timeteccloud.com/blog/the-rest-day-the-law-requires-and-your-roster-quietly-skips/

Malaysia is very important and so are you in this journey. Your company and boss are not so important, but you do need to make sure you have some income coming in for your family.

I'm in a similar situation. Even though I like my job and have a contract with the government I know things could change. I should be prepared and have some side gigs, but most important I should be physically and spiritually healthy or I can't make it even through one day.

peace

I don't mean the song to silence you. Feel free to rant and even call my username here @mineopoly. The song here is meant to silence your phone on Sunday for some peace^^

Here's the challenge problem, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it anymore. The law stated it's one day, so the bosses started to alternatively disturb their people once on Saturday and once on Sunday each week. Added with the special rest days arrangement in Malaysia, certain Islamic state has their weekended on Saturday and start working on Sunday, this shit goes fully "legalized" by the law and requirement.

Unless, I am absolutely prepared to give them the bird 🖕for now I think I have a solution, to silent the phone and change my caller ringtone 🤣

Don't have an English version. Perhaps I should make one.
