The impossible diet plan

As I was going through a very serious "trying" to lose weight program, I need to cut down my calories intake to 1400kcal now. The only problem is, ASEAN countries tend to server rice, even if not rice, will be staple food.

Breakfast was actually a meal replacement powder drink, which I'm not exactly enjoy. It's very powdery even using a shaker cup to shake it for 5 minutes, some of the thicker particle will still be there unable to disolve. I had my branch instaed. A piece of curry fish, a piece of rendang chicken, a portion of cabbage and a relatively small portion, size of my fist of white rice. The rice cracker came complement with the rice, I should have avoided that, but I didn't. So, instead of 500kcal for a meal, it's now 600 I believe. The cup of tea has no sugar, so it's a plus point for me.

Me and my colleague were having an appointment to meet up with a valuable client, decided to go to Uncle Don's. They have beer, so the client should be happy. As the corporate old saying goes, keep the client drunk, and keep your business grow. But then, I just don't feel like drinking anymore, especially since I've stopped smoking more 20 months now. To me, beer and cigarettes is like a package. Left hand smoke, right hand drink, or the other way round doesn't matter. Nevertheless, I made the same mistake again by ordering a non-alcohol soda cocktail. I just cannot imagine how much sugar from those purple color syrup contributed to this drink.

After some chatter, and we're supposed to order some simple food or finger food just get it pass, but then things gotten way more serious. Spicy chicken wing, and came 2 plates! And a huge portion of nachos with cheese dip. Speaking of cheese, isn't it funny people wanted low fat milk, and yet where's the milk fat gone? So I guess I've already blown my budget(calories count budgetting) by 2 folds.

And this was supposed to be the original dinner for me. Home minister prep me some meat, and French bean. Imagine, without the soda drink, the chicken wings, and the huge plate of nachos and cheese, I think I'm on the right track already. Provided if I follow the plan. LOL

😩Nooooo... Well, fortunately not a big pizza fan. I eat pizza, but not to an extend of can't resist it. The problem with Asians are always on the rice and noodles so far.

Thanks buddy. Once again, stop smoking now become a relatively small issue. Gaining weight become a side effect since I picked up very bad eating habits.

That calories are not problems but you should burn them soon , you jog or do some sportivities.

Bang, I'm not giving excuse myself for not working out. My problem now is, I eat more than my workout. 😶

I've also been trying to cut down on my calories but man, eating without rice just seems wrong. What I'm doing now is just cutting down on my rice, and not completely removing it. Congratulations on quitting smoking for 20 months now, that is such a great achievement! Keep it up.

I know right! I dont' believe in half rice, but I do have good results from my previous success diet control weight loss, when I stopped all carbohydrates for half a year and I got rid of almost 30kg. But that was those days, as I'm now much older, my metabolic rate is so much lower compare to that time.

Some people are hard to quit smoking, and more. I know now why you do push up last time. My mom try to lose weight too. Have a good day.

Thank you for your reply. Lose weight is technically about improve metabolic rate, and cut down on calories intake. Going macro, but watch out for calories count. Or the other way round, eat clean. By the look of your vegan family, I think calories count is the best way and fastest way to lose weight.

Smoking and drinking went hand in hand for me too, but most of all I didn't like the places I ended up hanging out as single 20-something year old that drinks and smokes. Chewing tobacco is also common where I'm from in the USA, and even some of the women do it, and I must say it's weird to see a young attractive spit a fountain of brown syrup out of her truck.

Interesting. I'd like to visit the state sometime in the future, but probably gonna stick to Cali since the family is there.
