Great photographs often require studios and professional cameras to achieve good results, but simple photos taken in ordinary places can also tell very interesting stories. Today, while visiting my grandfather's house, I came across this little plant growing between the stones, with almost no space, but with surprising strength. It also has a bent shape that can be seen as an example of always looking for ways to keep growing. It has pink flowers that are eye-catching and unique, of course, but what caught my attention the most was the shadow it casts on the ground when the sun hits the plant.

Muchas veces grandes fotografías necesitan de estudios, cámaras profesionales para así poder lograr algo bueno, sin embargo, fotos sencillas en lugares simples también pueden crear historia muy interesante. Hoy, mientras visitaba la casa de mi abuelo, me encontré con esta pequeña planta que crece entre las piedras, casi sin espacio, pero con una fuerza que sorprende, además tiene una forma doblada que puede ser un ejemplo de siempre buscar la manera de seguir creciendo. Tiene unas flores rosadas que llaman la atención y son únicas, claro, pero lo que más me atrapó fue la sombra que proyecta sobre el suelo, al momento de que el sol le pega sobre la planta.

The sun was very strong in the morning, and so the light fell directly on the plant as if it were going to burn it because it was so strong, but that made it shine, and at the same time that effect created a perfect silhouette, as if the plant had a second version of itself living on the pavement, unlike the original, which disappears once the sun goes down. It's curious how such a small plant can leave such a marked presence, even in its dark reflection. The shadow stretches, moves, breathes with the wind, and seems to tell its own story, which is why each photo from a different angle leaves something to talk about.

This is a scene that serves as motivation and inspiration, since the most fragile things can generate something beautiful, as plants do. Besides, you don't have to be big to leave your mark or to show that you are strong. Sometimes, it is enough to exist and let the light do the rest, and not only in plants but in the life of every person.

El sol estaba muy fuerte por ser en horas de la mañana y por eso la luz cae justo encima de la planta como si la fuera a quemar por lo fuerte que estaba, pero eso la hace brilla, y a la vez ese efecto crea una silueta perfecta, como si la planta tuviera una segunda versión de sí misma viviendo en el pavimento, a diferencia de este que se pierde una vez que el sol se esconde. Es curioso cómo está planta tan pequeña puede dejar una presencia tan marcada, incluso en su reflejo oscuro. La sombra se estira, se mueve, respira con el viento y parece contar su propia historia y por eso cada foto de distinto ángulo deja algo de que hablar.

Esa es una escena que sirve de motivación e inspiración, puesto que lo más frágil puede generar algo hermoso, como lo son las plantas. Además que no hace falta ser grande para dejar huella o para poder demostrar que eres fuerte. A veces, basta con existir y dejar que la luz haga el resto y no solo en las plantas sino en la vida de cada persona.
