A lo largo de mi vida he tenido la oportunidad de poder hacer grandes cosas, que siempre voy a recordar, pero también hay momentos especiales dentro de la familia que son únicos y se viven una sola vez como la graduación de mi hermana en el año 2021, donde más allá de ser graduación, fue un logro alcanzado en medio de uno de los años más difíciles para todo el mundo, siendo pandemia, algo que nos tocó adaptarnos y en medio de eso ver a mi hermana recibir un título es algo de admirar.

Recuerdo que mi hermana le tocó hacer muchas, pero con la seguridad y la firmeza de que ese momento llegaría, además verla con ese birrete y esa sonrisa, nos llena de mucha emoción y a pesar de que ya han pasado varios años el recuerdo sigue allí. Para el acto solo se podía llevar a dos personas, por eso mis padres fueron los encargados de acompañarla y tomar cada una de las fotografías, que representa mucho más que un simple acto académico.

Throughout my life, I’ve had the opportunity to do great things that I’ll always remember, but there are also special moments within the family that are unique and happen only once, like my sister’s graduation in 2021. Beyond just being a graduation, it was an achievement reached in the midst of one of the most difficult years for everyone—the pandemic—something we had to adapt to. And in the midst of that, seeing my sister receive her degree is something to admire.

I remember that my sister had to go through a lot, but with the confidence and certainty that that moment would come. Seeing her with that cap and that smile fills us with so much emotion, and even though several years have passed, the memory remains. Only two people were allowed to attend the ceremony, so my parents were the ones who accompanied her and took every single photograph—a moment that represents so much more than just an academic ceremony.

Este es un gran triunfo que lo celebramos todos en familia, ya que siempre nos apoyamos y seguimos adelante enfrentando cada situación. Donde graduarse suena fácil, pero son muchos años de esfuerzos, de palabras de aliento en los momentos complicados y de celebrar cada pequeño avance. Por eso ver a mi hermana recibir su título fue sentir que cada sacrificio había valido la pena, para que así sea un gran orgullo para todos y luego yo podré hacer lo mismo.

A pesar de ser un año difícil, donde todo cambio y nos tocó adaptarnos, nos enseñó el verdadero valor de la perseverancia, mostrando que incluso en los tiempos más difíciles es posible alcanzar las metas cuando existe disciplina, compromiso y fe en uno mismo. Por eso este es un recuerdo muy especial y que sirve de inspiración, además las cosas se van construyendo paso tras paso y si ella pudo lograrlo en medio de una pandemia, porque uno no lo puede lograr hoy en día que existen miles de herramientas.

This is a huge achievement that we’re all celebrating as a family, since we always support one another and keep moving forward no matter what. Graduating might sound easy, but it takes years of hard work, words of encouragement during tough times, and celebrating every small step forward. That’s why seeing my sister receive her degree made me feel that every sacrifice had been worth it—it’s a source of great pride for all of us, and now I can follow in her footsteps.

Despite being a difficult year, where everything changed and we had to adapt, it taught us the true value of perseverance, showing that even in the toughest times, it’s possible to achieve your goals when you have discipline, commitment, and self-belief. That’s why this is a very special memory that serves as inspiration; besides, things are built step by step, and if she could achieve it in the midst of a pandemic, why can’t we achieve it today when there are thousands of tools available?

El tiempo avanza rápido, donde esa graduación se siente que fue ayer y hoy solo quedan las fotografías y un título universitario para toda la vida, además de inspiración y por demostrar que ningún obstáculo es más grande que la voluntad de seguir adelante, por eso, amigos en esta vida todo se puede conseguir y lograr.

Time flies; it feels like graduation was just yesterday, and today all that remains are the photographs and a college degree that will last a lifetime—along with inspiration and proof that no obstacle is greater than the will to keep moving forward. That’s why, my friends, anything is possible in this life.
