A MAGICAL TOWN🏛[ ENG/ESP]

Greetings travelers,

Today I want to introduce you to El Retiro, a town in the Department of Antioquia, Colombia, which still retains the magic of a colonial village. Despite the passage of time, it is well-preserved. This beautiful place is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes away from the city of Medellin. However, it took me around 45 minutes on a motorcycle from where I live, with an average speed of 60 km per hour.

It is a small town with narrow streets where the main economy is based on woodwork (they make furniture), but they also produce delicious coffee (I love coffee), which we enjoyed on the second floor of the main square, at a corner. Not to mention their rich gastronomy.

The architecture of the past, its people, and its two free-entry museums make it very attractive to tourists. I came across some Venezuelans, although the majority of tourists were Americans. In one of their museums, I even took a photo where there are banknotes from China, Arabs, Italians, and people mark them with the date they visited. It was curious.

But the most beautiful thing was that I was lucky enough to see a cultural staging where I saw dances of the region, music with seniors and special people; I also witnessed a job that I thought had disappeared as is EL LUSTRABOTAS (is a person who makes your shoes beautiful) that I'm glad.

Something curious is that next to the church there is like an old house and inside in each room or room they have rented these places for gastronomic samples; the truth had never seen anything like that.

So you are invited to puebliar a very Colombian term that is to visit these beautiful places in one day and much more EL RETIRO a beautiful place everywhere you look.
Antioquia and Medellin are becoming one of the best tourist sites in the world and if you have the opportunity do not hesitate to stop by or if you want you can ask me, who knows if I can take you and we can make cultural changes.

This is all for today, the investment was about 110 thousand pesos about 26 dollars and we spent about 4 hours, remember to travel will always give you a story to tell.

Saludos viajeros...

Hoy quiero presentarles El Retiro un pueblo del Departamento de Antioquia Colombia el cuál aún conserva esa magia de pueblo colonial ya que aunque pase el tiempo se preserva muy bien. Este lindo lugar esta aproximadamente a 1:10 hora de la ciudad de Medellín, pero desde donde vivo fueron alrededor de 45 minutos en motocicleta a una velocidad promedio de 60km por hora.

Es un pueblito de calles pequeñas donde su principal economía es la madera ( con la que hacen muebles) aunque también hacen un rico café ( amo el café ) que nos tomamos en un segundo piso del parque principal en una esquina por no hablar de su rica gastronomía.

Esa arquitectura del pasado, su gente y sus 2 museos de entrada libre lo hacen muy atractivo por los turistas; me encontre con algunos venezolanos, aunque la mayoría de los turistas era gringos. Incluso en uno de sus museos tome esta foto donde hay billetes de china,arabes, italianos y las personas los marcan con la fecha en que lo visitaròn, fue curioso.

Pero lo más bonito fue que conté con la suerte de ver una puesta en escena cultural donde vi bailes de la región, música con personas de la tercera edad y personas especial; además presencie un trabajo que pensé que había desaparecido como lo es EL LUSTRABOTAS ( es una persona que te pone bonitos los zapatos ) eso me alegro.

Algo curioso es que al lado de la iglesia hay como una casa vieja y por dentro en cada pieza o habitación tienen arrendados estos sitios para muestras gastronómicas; la verdad nunca había visto algo así.

Así que están invitados a puebliar un tèrmino muy Colombiano que es visitar estos hermosos lugares en un solo día y mucho más EL RETIRO un sitio hermoso por donde lo mires.
Antioquia y Medellìn se estan convirtiendo en uno de los mejores sitios turísticos del mundo y si tienes la oportunidad no dudes en pasarte por aquí o si deseas me puedes preguntar , quien quita que te pueda llevar y podamos hacer cambios culturales.

Esto es todo por hoy ,la inversión fue de unos 110 mil pesos unos 26 dolares y estuvimos unas 4 horas, recuerda viajar siempre te va a dar una historia que contar.
