Hello to all my Hive friends... 🐱

Today, I wanted to join in again with the contest inspired by International Peace Day from the @diyhub community. In my previous post, I made a pair of dangling earrings decorated with the peace symbol. I loved the theme so much that I wanted to complete the accessory set by making a small dove of peace in the shape of a necklace charm.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Para hoy me quise unir nuevamente al concurso inspirado en el día internacional de la paz, de la comunidad de @diyhub, en el post anterior realice un par de zarcillos colgantes decorados con el símbolo de la paz, como me encantó la temática quise completar el conjunto de accesorios realizando una pequeña paloma de la paz en forma de dije para collar.

En estos tiempos tan complicados que atraviesa el mundo entero, que mas hermoso que desear con toda el alma que llegue la paz verdadera que tanto deseamos. Paz, paz y paz...

• Let's start by taking a 4mm wide white quilling strip. Using the needle, roll it up until you reach the end, seal it with extra-strong white glue, remove it from the needle, and you will have a closed circle. You will need two identical circles.

• Shape both circles on a template measuring 10mm and 12mm. Use the 10mm template to make a cone shape. Apply extra-strong white glue to the inside to prevent them from moving or deforming. Join both pieces by wrapping a piece of white tape around them. This will be the body.

• For the head, we will make a closed white circle, molding it to a size of 10mm. We will cut a piece of white tape with wavy edges, glue it to the bottom of the head, and place it on the body.

• For the rear and side wings, we will make 9 open circles. We will mold them as shown in the images and glue them in groups of 3.

• Vamos a comenzar tomando cinta para quilling de color blanco de 4mm de ancho, con la aguja vamos a enrollar la misma hasta llegar al final de la misma, sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte, sacamos de la aguja, para obtener un círculo cerrado. Necesitaremos 2 iguales.

• Moldearemos ambos círculos en una plantilla en las medidas número 10 y 12mm, con el 10mm haremos una especie de cono, aplicaremos pega blanca extra fuerte en la parte interna para evitar que los mismos se muevan o se deformen, unimos ambas piezas pasando un trozo de cinta blanca alrededor. Este será el cuerpo.

• Para la cabeza haremos un círculo cerrado blanco, lo moldeamos en la medida 10mm, cortaremos un trozo de cinta blanca con bordes ondulados, pegamos en la parte de abajo de la cabeza, colocamos en el cuerpo.

• Para las alas traseras y de los lados realizaremos 9 círculos abiertos, estos los moldearemos tal y como pueden apreciar en las imágenes, pegamos en grupos de 3.

• Once the wings are ready and grouped together, place them in the corresponding place on the bird's body.

• Make the beak by cutting a double triangle from a piece of yellow quilling, and glue it to the face.

• The legs are also made by cutting a piece of yellow quilling.

• At this point, I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue to protect the work, and let it dry thoroughly.

• I made a closed white circle to which I attached a jewelry ring, and glued this to the bird's back.

• I made the small olive branch by making some very small open green circles, which I shaped into leaves and glued to a 1mm wide strip of green quilling. I glued this branch to the bird's beak.

• To finish and hang the pendant, I made a silver chain to which I attached jewelry rings at both ends and added a clasp.

This is how I finished this necklace pendant of a cute dove of peace, to complete a set of accessories inspired by International Peace Day, using the quilling technique.

• Colocamos las alas una vez listas y agrupadas, en el sitio correspondiente del cuerpo del ave.

• Realizamos el pico recortando un triángulo doble de un trozo de quilling amarillo, pegamos de la cara.

• Las patas también la realizaremos recortando de un trozo de quilling amarillo.

• En este punto apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte para proteger el trabajo, deje secar muy bien.

• Realicé un círculo cerrado blanco al cual le coloqué una argolla de bisutería, esto lo pegué del lomo del ave.

• Realicé la pequeña rama de olivo, haciendo algunos círculos abiertos muy pequeños color verde, estos los moldee en forma de hojas los pegué de una tira de 1mm de ancho de quilling verde. Este rama la pegué en el pico del ave.

• Para finalizar y colgar el dije, realicé una cadena de color plateada a la cual le coloque sus respectivas argollas de bisutería en ambos extremos e incorpore su trancadero.

De esta manera finalice este dije para collar de una tierna paloma de la paz, para completar un conjunto de accesorios inspirados en el día internacional de la paz, en la técnica de quilling.
