Everyone who follows me has probably noticed that a few months ago I started a collection of Pokémon Unown. I mentioned that each one represents a letter of the alphabet and some symbols, and that they’re inspired by ancient symbols and the idea that language has power.

Today I’m sharing a new piece from this impressive alphabet: “The Unown Pokémon corresponding to the letter G”, in the form of a decorative quilling artwork.

I’m sharing this image so you can get an idea of all the different Unown Pokémon that exist, and so you can follow along as I create them and see how similar they are:

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Todos los que me siguen se han podido dar cuenta que hace unos meses comencé una colección de Pokémon Unown, les mencione que cada uno ellos demarcan una letra del alfabeto y algunos símbolos, como tambien que están inspirados en signos antiguos y en la idea que el lenguaje tiene poder.

Para hoy les dejo una nueva figura de este impresionante alfabeto "El Pokémon Unown que corresponde a la letra G", en forma de una figura decorativa en la técnica de quilling.

Les dejo está imagen para que se hagan una idea de todos los distintos Pokémon Unown existentes y así le podrán hacer seguimiento al que voy elaborando y que tan semejante es:

• I started by sketching the Pokémon G I’m going to make on a sheet of paper with a pencil.

• I carefully cut out the sketch with a pair of fine-tipped scissors.

• I took some black cardstock, cut out the top part of the detail on the Pokémon’s body, cut it out twice, and then glued the two pieces together to make a thicker piece.

• Comencé realizando un boceto en una hoja de papel con un lápiz, del Pokemón G que voy a elaborar.

• Recorté el boceto con mucho cuidado con una tijera pinta fina.

• Tomé cartulina de color negra, recorte la parte de arriba del detalle que tiene en el cuerpo el pokemon, lo recorte 2 veces, luego los uni para hacer una pieza más gruesa.

• Keep working on the base shape—all Pokémon Unown share this same base, which is their face, and from there you can create different shapes and styles. Here’s the link to the first one I made so you can see the step-by-step process; I don’t see the point in repeating it in every post: Pokémon Unown "A".

• I took another piece of black cardstock and cut out the lower part of the Pokémon’s body in the same way.

• Once the pieces were ready, I glued them to the corresponding parts of the Pokémon’s body.

• To finish, I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue, letting each layer dry before applying the next to protect and laminate this Pokémon.

This is how I finished this Unown Pokémon, which corresponds to the letter “G” of the alphabet, in the form of a decorative quilling figure.

• Segui haciendo la figura base, todos los Pokémon Unown tiene esta misma base que es su cara para seguir con formas y estilos diferentes. Les dejo el link del primero que hice para que vean el paso a paso, no le veo sentido repetirlo en todos los post, Pokémon Unown "A".

• Tomé otro trozo de cartulina negra y recorte de la misma manera la parte de abajo del cuerpo del Pokémon.

• Una vez lista las piezas, procedí a pegar al Pokémon en el sitio del cuerpo al que correspondía la pieza.

• Para finalizar apliqué algunas capas de pega blanca extra fuerte, dejando secar entre una y otra para proteger y plastificar este Pokémon.

De esta manera finalice este Pokémon Unown que corresponde a la letra "G" del alfabeto, en forma de una figura decorativa en la técnica de quilling.
