Today I’m sharing a decorative pendant with you, which I created using the quilling technique and drew inspiration from the colors of my national tricolor.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Para hoy les dejo un colgante decorativo, en el cual añadí como fuente de inspiración los colores de mi tricolor nacional, en la técnica de quilling.

• Take some yellow quilling tape and wrap it around a mandrel to form circles. In my case, I used size 7, wrapping from top to bottom. Once I finished wrapping all the tape, I secured it with extra-strong white glue and removed it from the mandrel to form a ring.

• We’ll repeat the same process with 3-mm-wide blue and red quilling paper. This way, we’ll end up with three rings—one yellow, one blue, and one red—all the same size.

• Vamos a tomar cinta para quilling de color amarillo y enrollaremos en un mandril para moldear círculos, en mi caso lo hice en la medida número 7 de arriba hacia abajo, al terminar de enrollar toda la cinta selle con pega blanca extra fuerte y saqué del mandril. Para obtener un aro.

• Repetiremos el mismo proceso con cinta de color azul de 3 mm de ancho y de color rojo. De esta manera obtendremos tres aros uno amarillo uno azul y uno rojo de la misma medida.

• Let’s take some more 3-mm-wide yellow, blue, and red strips of paper and run one strip of each color through a paper crimper.

• Take the strips and wind them around a quilling needle without applying too much pressure to prevent the corrugated shape from losing its form. When you reach the end of the strip, remove it from the needle and thread it through the ring you made earlier. Repeat this for each color, and apply a dot of extra-strong white glue to keep them from slipping out of the ring.

• Shape each ring into a teardrop shape, then join the three together in whatever way you like best.

• I applied a coat of quick-drying gloss to protect, harden, and laminate this pendant.

• Vamos a tomar nuevamente cintas de color amarillo, azul, y rojo de 3 mm de ancho, pasaremos una tira de cada color por un corrugador de papel.

• Tomaremos las tiras y en una aguja para quilling enrollaremos sin ejercer mucha presión para evitar que la forma corrugada se deforme, al llegar al final de la tira sacaremos de la aguja y meteremos en el aro que hicimos con anterioridad, esto lo haremos con cada color y aplicaremos un punto de pega blanca extra fuerte para que no se salgan del aro.

• Vamos a moldear cada aro en forma de gotas, luego uniremos los tres de la forma que más les guste.

• Apliqué una capa de brillo de secado rápido para proteger, endurecer, y plastificar este colgante.

• I made three small circles out of yellow, blue, and red corrugated ribbon, which I placed at different points on the charm.

• I decorated it using several half-pearls.

• To finish, I made a pendant using thin yellow, blue, and red snakeskin-patterned thread, to which I attached a cap, knots, a ring, and a gold-colored clasp. I then attached my pendant to a ring that I had attached to the charm.

This is how I finished this decorative pendant featuring the colors of my national tricolor 💛💙❤️🇻🇪, using the quilling technique.

• Realicé tres pequeños círculos con cinta corrugada amarilla azul y rojo, los cuales ubiqué en diferentes puntos del dije.

• Decore utilizando varias medias perlas de bisutería.

• Para finalizar realicé un colgante tomando hilo piel de serpiente fina de color amarillo azul y rojo al cual le coloqué su respectivo tapa nudos argolla y trancadero pico del oro, enganché mi colgante en una argolla que le coloqué al dije.

De esta manera finalice este colgante decorativo con los colores de mi tricolor nacional 💛💙❤️🇻🇪, en la técnica de quilling.
