There we go. If you have time, check them out and see what you think. And if you like any, let the author know about it by leaving a great comment!

Comments

Comments were pretty good this week, but it was quite uneven. We had a few people who had a huge number of comments, and many others who didn’t have any. Remember, the stated rules of this community are that you must comment two times for every poem you post. Not only will you not be eligible for the weekly giveaway of CCC and SBI if you don’t follow these rules, but you won’t be eligible for the future give aways we have planned. In the future we will be offering more tokens, but only to people who follow the rules and comment at least twice for even poem they post.

That said, I want to award three people who when above and beyond, offering a lot of comments, nearly one on every poem posted this week. I can’t award like this every week, as I don’t get enough money from Hive to pay for this, but while I can I will. @joseitosanchezs, @martinlazizi, @repayme4568, one SBI each to you guys!

Winner of Hive SBI and CCC

Remember, only people who gave two comments for every poem they posted are eligible for this contest. The only exception is that new poets are giving a pass their first week here.

Excluding myself, that puts 12 people in the running for HIVE SBI and 6 people in the running for CCC tokens.

I threw you guys into a random picker

and the winner is…

For Hive SBI:

@emmaba1 - 3 SBI
@mbkumasi03 - 2 SBI
@martinlazizi - 2 SBI
@repayme4568 - 2 SBI
@gone-hive - 1 SBI

For CCC tokens:

@pregosauce - 500 CCC
@penyaircyber - 500 CCC
@joseitosanchezs - 500 CCC
@hilbyguy - 500 CCC
@emmaba1 - 500 CCC

Congratulations!

(if you aren’t sure what SBI is, it’s kind of lifetime payment system. You can read about it here)

And thank you all for your wonderful poems!

Next Week ~ Next Prize

Next week will be the same reward — shares of Hive SBI and CCC. For CCC, you must use the #creativecoin tag. For both SBI and CCC, you must comment.

The exact amount of Hive SBI depends on how many poets submit poems for the week.

0–9 poets - 1 SBI
10–19 poets - 5 SBI (split 2–2–1)
20–49 poets - 10 SBI (split 3–2–2–2–1)

(Note, these numbers don’t include @moeknows or myself.)

So if you want a chance for Hive SBI, go write a poem! If you want a chance for a lot of Hive SBI, go recruit others (and write a poem)! Spread the word, upvote and share this post to make it more visible, contact poet buddies on Discord and try to talk them into joining our group.

Just remember the rules:

  1. Comment on two other poems for every one that you post
  2. Make it a good comment (not just “great poem!”)
  3. If you offer criticism, keep it gentle and polite and remember the golden rule of criticism: say at least two positive things for every one thing you criticize.

Anyone caught breaking these rules will not be eligible for the reward.

I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s new poem in this next week.

(Note: If you’d like to donate anything for the contest, such as Hive Engine tokens or Hive, please get in touch with me. Look for me as dbooster#6252 on Discord.)

    PS - I remember you writing in another post a suggestion that we delegate our CCC to a curator but I cannot find it. Any chance you could remind me? ty

    You can delegate your ccc to @cccf if you'd like and they'll pay out a percentage of what they earn with it weekly

    Thanks for the reminder of who to delegate to. I delegated what I have. I love all of these writing tokens, so cool!

    @dbooster Thanks a lot. Please I still don't get this SBI thing. Can I talk to you on discord?

    There really isn't much to understand. The sbi bot will upvote your posts for the lifetime of your account. Depending on how many SBI you have, it may be every single post you make, or it may only be every second or third post you make. The more SBI you have, the more the bot upvotes you for.

    Don't know if I can really clarify it much more than that, but feel free to DM me at dbooster#6252

    I didn't count any comments from you on other poems, so you weren't eligible. As stated in several places, you have to give two comments on other poems for every poem you submit. If I missed any of your comments, I apologize. Due to all the things I send and the youtube videos I post, any comments that come in about an hour or two before the post goes up probably will be missed by me.

    I made more than 2 comments and submitted just a poem for last week. Maybe because it was like 2 hours before you posted. There is no problem.. Guess I was not lucky enough... Thanks for your response

    Yep, you probably just missed it. In general I assemble most of the post Sunday night Japan time, then when I wake up (Monday morning Japan time) I check and add any poems that were posted while I was asleep, count the comments, then do the drawing, send rewards, schedule the post, then go to work. I try not to miss any, but there is a window of a few hours there between my final comment count and the post going up. If you want to be safe, try to leave multiple comments during the week. I'll go ahead and write a note for myself that you are in the next contest since I missed you this last time.

    I'll try to make as many comments as possible this week. Thanks for your unfailing support.. I appreciate.. Although sometimes I'm discouraged to wrote poems since most times poems don't get enough upvotes. I prefer writing others posts than poems so I can have good upvotes since am trying to build my account. I don't know if you understand what I mean... If not for that, I can write and publish poems every day of the week on the community.

    Yeah, I understand. Poetry doesn't get a lot of support from Hive in general. That is another reason why growing this community is so important, so we can get that support. But I also face the same dilemma; as a result I rotate my posts and only do 1-2 poetry posts per week.

    We aren't yet doing any kind of prompts for topics. This is something I may start up later as time allows. Write about whatever you wish.
