Blockchain Poets ~ Week in Review for Oct 25 to Oct 31 ~ Hive SBI Winner, too
Here are the poems published to Blockchain Poets for the week of Oct 25–Oct 31. Let’s have a look at the poems then we will get down to the contest winner.
This Week’s Poems
There we go. If you have time, check them out and see what you think. And if you like any, let the author know about it by leaving a great comment!
Comments
Wow, @joseitosanchezs was on fire another week in a row. Not only did he post more comments than poems, but he posted more comments than all of us. Way to go, buddy! For the super job, 2 Hive SBI headed your way!
Winner of Hive SBI
And we had 20 poets this week! That unlocks the 3rd level of prizes!
Remember, only people who gave two comments for every poem they posted are eligible for this contest. The only exception is that new poets are giving a pass their first week here.
Excluding myself and those who didn’t give two comments for every poem posted, that puts 12 people in the running for 10 share of Hive SBI (divided five ways) this week.
I threw you guys into a random picker…
and the winner is…
@cesarj21 - 3 SBI
@lecumberre - 2 SBI
@josemalavem - 2 SBI
@joseitosanchezs - 2 SBI
@riverflows - 1 SBI
Congratulations!
(if you aren’t sure what SBI is, it’s kind of lifetime payment system. You can read about it here)
And thank you all for your wonderful poems!
Next Week ~ Next Prize
Next week will be the same reward — shares of Hive SBI.
The exact amount of Hive SBI depends on how many poets submit poems for the week. I’m bumping up the win amounts this time.
0–9 poets - 1 SBI
10–19 poets - 5 SBI (split 2–2–1)
20–49 poets - 10 SBI (split 3–2–2–2–1)
(Note, these numbers don’t include @moeknows or myself.)
So if you want a chance for Hive SBI, go write a poem! If you want a chance for a lot of Hive SBI, go recruit others (and write a poem)! Spread the word, upvote and share this post to make it more visible, contact poet buddies on Discord and try to talk them into joining our group.
Just remember the rules:
- Comment on two other poems for every one that you post
- Make it a good comment (not just “great poem!”)
- If you offer criticism, keep it gentle and polite and remember the golden rule of criticism: say at least two positive things for every one thing you criticize.
Anyone caught breaking these rules will not be eligible for the reward.
I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s new poem in this next week.
(Note: I’d like to start offering more prizes in the future. Please get in contact with me if you’d like to donate any Hive tokens or other rewards. Look for me as dbooster#6252 on Discord.)

Thanks, nice and poetic community.
You're welcome 😃
Thanks again. This community is really the dream of a poet.
Thank you so much! I wasn’t aware of this contest and when I watched the video I hadn’t realized yet that I was chosen, it was funny. I still got to learn about the SBI, so I will read the link you send.
Regards to everybody! What a nice community.
Congratulations to everyone

Thank you very much @dbooster and congratulations to all the winners, but I want to make a comment, I always try to comment to everyone, but when I publish poems in this community I have no comments =(, that really depresses me a lot and discourages me to continue writing in this community regardless of the reward for such comments, without anything else to add I hope you have a great start of the month and I reiterate my congratulations to the winners =)
@joseitosanchezs - Yes, I noticed that when I was counting comments. I can't say why people choose not to comment on yours. There were a few other poems that no one commented on as well. For myself, I apologize, as I always try to comment on all the poems but for the past two weeks I haven't been able to do so. For others, maybe nothing in your poems jumped out at them, or maybe the dual language format intimidated them for some reason. I don't know. I would advise patience. I know it is frustrating. I rarely get comments on the haiku I post myself, so I understand your feeling. As this community grows and attracts more people, this kind of thing will hopefully become less and less.
For what it's worth, I thought your poems were really good. I would love if we could attract more foreign language speakers to this group also, so I'm happy that you do the dual language format.
I will not change my way of publishing poems in this community, I feel that this community is going to have an important growth and I want to be part of that growth.
Hugs and Thanks @dbooster
Congratulations to the winners and all the amazing participants. I am so happy and surprised to see so many poems. It feels amazing to be among you all.
