It's Hive Power-Up Day! The Second to Last of 2022!

Another Hive Power-Up Day has come and gone. Did you power-up in time?

Man, these come faster and faster. It was here again, and gone just as fast. Here was the intro post for this one.

The past few times I've powered-up 100 Hive. I did the same this time. It's a nice even amount. In the future I may power-up more, but currently I use a large chunk of change to fund rewards for Blockchain Poets (if you want in on those rewards, get over there and write a poem) so that limits what I have to power-up with.

This past week or so I've been doing a lot of posts about urban legends in Japan. Those have been fun to do, but have been getting far fewer upvotes and earning less than my usual posts. Going into Nov, I may throw a few more of those, but I'll also return to more photo and haiku posts since those seem to be what most of you respond best to.

Anyway.

I assume most of you know what HPUD is, but let's do a brief overview for any who don't.

Hosted by @hivebuzz and @arcange, Hive-Power Up Day (HPUD) has been with us for awhile. It's a great way to show support for this platform and increase your influence at the same time. Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so I it ended 10 minutes ago as of this posting (I schedule my daily posts for 0:10 UTC just to keep things consistent). To check what these times are in your local time zone, this is my favorite time zone conversion site, but you can also go to the Hivebuzz page, login, and they will show you a countdown clock.

If you have at least 10 Hive that you can power-up, you will get a badge from doing so. I mean, silly badges shouldn't be the reason you are powering-up, but they are a fun perk. The actual levels are as follows:

But more than that, you will increase your voting power and your stake in this platform. I've been here for over 5 years. I believe in this platform. Even if Hive doesn't moon (as we all hope know it will), I think we are building something pretty great with this platform. If you are here reading this, I might imagine you agree. Hive is growing far more slowly than some of us hope, but with that slow growth has come a greater stability than many other platforms have.

If you missed out on this HPUD, don't worry, it'll come again next month. But that next month will be here before you know it. I suggest following @hivebuzz and/or @traciyork so you will be reminded a few days before the next one.

    Nice post :) I mostly write fiction stories, but I’ve been meaning to stop by blockchain poets and share some poetry… just as soon as I get inspired to write some LOL

    I’ll come check out some of your stories, the subject is intriguing!

    Congratulations on your achievements!
    There are so many details, processes, services and opportunities to learn and develop, that many users, like me, are left out of these opportunities that occur in a short time as you say. The idea is to be attentive, learn from the experience of others and move forward together with them...
    I am in a learning stage, but it is overwhelming so much information. And so it is, in order to advance and raise the level to the highest places, you must search, investigate, be attentive on the active pages of @hivebuzz and @arcange.
    Keep it up, guiding the user, although some do not understand these issues (Me!).
    Greetings @dbooster and I advise you not to ask for toilet paper (neither red nor blue) in public toilets in Japan!

    Son tantos detalles, procesos, servicios y oportunidades por aprender y desarrollar, que muchos usuarios, al igual que yo, nos quedamos fuera de esas oportunidades que se dan en poco tiempo así como dices. La idea es estar atentos, aprender de la experiencia de otros y avanzar junto con ellos...
    Yo me encuentro en una etapa de aprendizaje, pero es abrumador tanta información. Y es así, para poder avanzar y elevar el nivel a los lugares más altos, se debe buscar, indagar, estar atento en las páginas activas de @hivebuzz and @arcange
    Continúa así, orientándo al usuario, aunque algunos no entienden de estos temas (Yo!).
