My Hive Goals ~ 9 Oct 2023
Hello all! Another week and it's time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. I'm going to look at the progress I've made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I'm looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we'll get to that too.
Let's start with my Hive goals.
~ Hive & HBD ~
My current goal is 25k Hive.
This past week I made 197.870, bringing me to 18,993.03 total Hive Power. That's 76% of my goal!
Let's do the math. 25k - 18,993.03 gives us 6006.97 remaining. Divided out gives us the value of 71.5 Hive needed per day to reach 25k by the first of next year. Wow... it went up a lot this past week. I'd have to gain the favor of a whale like appreciator in order for me to get that kind of daily earning!
Meanwhile my average earnings remain the same as at the start of this year, so I don't think they are likely to increase anytime soon. Oh well. Maybe I should take bets on how close I can get by the end of the year.
~ BRO, LGN, PIMP ~
As usual, my goal remains Hive Power, so I'm not moving any of my HBD earnings here to fund buys. But I am selling most of the random tokens that I earn and using them to fund some action here.
My BRO holdings are 521.208, which isn't much of an increase. But I didn't buy any this week, so that's ok. For LGN, I did manage to catch a few more dips below .7, in total buying 98.2, putting me at 874.951 total. And as for PIMP, I bought 1000 of it, which combines with my weekly earnings of 444.521 to give me 58,251.214.
I'm pretty happy with my holdings here and don't see myself diversifying too much more in the Hive secondary market. I do want to pick up more CINE, but that is on the back burner until I get a decent holding of BRO, LGN, and PIMP.
~ DBOND ~
But speaking of second layer tokens, there are still 3000+ DBOND tokens available in the current sale. The point of DBOND is slow growth, so don't buy into it of you want quick gains, but it is a nice solid one if you are planning on being in this ecosystem for several more years and are fine with planing the long game.
If you aren't familiar with the token, think of it as a slightly more complex version of EDS. Staking DBOND will get you some DAB tokens. I think the DAB tokens are given away each day in a lottery so the more DBOND you own, the better your chance of winning DAB. You will then get a daily dividend of Hive for holding DAB or more DBOND for staking your DAB. Which is better is up to you.
I continue my strategy suggested by @bozz of selling the DAB that I'm earning. Well his strategy is sell the DAB and use the money to buy more DBOND. I'm not buying any more right now, so I guess I'm missing out. There will come a point where selling DAB no longer makes sense if we are in for the long term, but that point is not here yet. Currently DAB is going for around 4-5 Hive, making it more valuable to sell than hold.
~ Silver Stacking ~
I picked up this coin for the silver stacking
It's one I now have several of, but I can't resist picking up more when I see them. It's only 60% silver, so not quite as good as the junk silver you guys have easier access to in the States, but... well, it's still silver.
I usually cut these coins out of these cardboard sleeves when I get them, but I don't know. Is that a good idea? #silvergoldstackers friends, give me your thoughts.
That stuff out of the way, let's do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If I get under five commenters, I try to divide it up as best as possible, and if I get over five, I do a random drawing.
So how about this week? Let's see... last post we had comments from @kerrislravenhill @rzc24-nftbbg @beerbod @daddydog @silverd510 @keithtaylor @dewabrata @stekene @oasiskp2 @hiro.guita @littlebee4.
Let's do a drawing!
Looks like the winners are @littlebee4 @hiro.guita @oasiskp2 @daddydog @rzc24-nftbbg
Congrats, guys!
And forward we go! It was a strong week. Let's see how this coming one goes!

wow 72 hive per day is the same that Jongolson gets. It would be great if you reach that pace. And congrats for the SBI winners @littlebee4 @hiro.guita @oasiskp2 @daddydog @rzc24-nftbbg
Thanks!

If I could only get what he does! But I'm not quite as good at getting those Leo guys' votes as he is.
Unless the coin is in uncirculated and considerably rare or valuable I'd like to feel/play with the real coin outside the package, otherwise it stays in the 'flip' or switched into a plastic version.
That's pretty much how I've been playing it. I don't think this is uncirculated, and it certainly isn't rare, so out it will come!
Thanks!
I missed that "lottery" part. I prefer a more stable one.
It is almost stable and a decent one on top of that.
Almost all of the mining tokens operate on a lottery, which is modeled after bitcoin mining I suppose, so it's a pretty standard thing. It doesn't affect the stability of the coin, which is pretty solid, just in the mining of the coin. I don't own a lot of dbond but I am averaging a fair amount of DAB each day, so it seems like a pretty fair lottery.
I saw your $DBOND/$DAB history and I am impressed. I also checked @gadrian's.

This Dbond is not connected to Dhedge in anyway?
No, totally different people. @raymondspeaks and @silverstackeruk are behind DBOND while @taskmanager is behind DHEDGE and DVS.
Thanks for clearing that up, you heard about the dhedge drama you got to be feeling it , I know you had a nice stake
I heard a little about that. All I heard was that someone cracked the timing and was about to get a huge 8000 DVS payout. But... how they did that and if taskmanager immediately fixed it and started buying up DVS to get the price back up (as he should have on both counts) I didn't hear. Do you know better what happened?
Apparently someone manipulate the market and a flaw in the delegation rewards the get a bunch of DVS and then dump and take over the rewards we used to be up on the rich list and now we are not as high up price is down and upvotes are not as nice 😞
Keep on stackin bro. Hope to win the next one
Thanks, and good luck!
I didn't know you could design coins with cardboard, curious, great for the winners :3
It's just something coin collectors do. These cardboard sleeves are the cheapest protecters one can buy and they are easy to mark up with all kinds of coin info that people want to remember.
Was hesitating about the dbond, but looks like I should check it out more in-depth..
Thanks for sharing your update! :D
Thanks for reading!
Quite a motivating post... for me, not talking for others. I was thinking about increase my HIVE POWER for some time now, but something always gets prioritized, this time it is PIMP power. I'll try to take it up to 50K in two months then will try to power up my HP.
I am glad you are achieving your goals slowly and steadily - please, accept my well wishes for your future endeavors in this regard.
I think there is no right way here. Pausing your HP gains to focus on PIMP and then going back to HP works well. You can't go wrong with PIMP!
Couldn't agree more.
Thanks for the action. You bought 1000 PIMP that is a good purchase in my opinion. I also like the CINE pool as an investment, I think I will try to enter it.
Congratulations on your growth.
Thanks!
CINE is a great option. I think stickupboys and Ray are really going to push it later, so it's good to get into while it's cheap. That CINE:Swap.Hive pool really offers some nice rewards too.
I like the Hive Goals reports from you and others. Because they prompt me to think about what I should be doing. So I want to start this ritual for myself soon. And I hope I can make my reports as interesting as yours, David.
Now, some of my goals are financial. But many are more abstract. So I need to think long and hard about my aspirations of more fun and better engagement. Then seek ways I can measure those goals and my progress.
During my Monday morning peek at my progress on https://hivestats.io, I got new inspiration from none other than yourself @dbooster . Because there you are at #14 in the HiveStats carousel of glory!
I can see that you don't specify ranking in the top 15 Hiveans on the planet as one of your goals. But if it were, you smashed it. So thank you for the inspiration.
Glad you enjoy them, Keith! Thinking about goals, whether abstract or more concrete, is I think a great practice.
Wow, I made the Hivestats list! That usually only happens when I'm fortunate enough to get the Leo.voter vote early in the day. Lucky!
Your progress towards your Hive goal is impressive! It's evident that your hard work and determination are paying off. Your detailed updates are not only motivating but also educational. Keep up the fantastic work, and I'm looking forward to your future updates
Thanks!
You are welcome
You have done noble.
