Opening up some Freddy Funko Halloween NFT packs.

If you've been following me for awhile, then you may or may not be aware that I have a soft spot for the cardboard and vinyl trash known as Funko Pops. I've been a collector over the past 3-4 years of their physical items. However, in the last several months Funko has decided to dip their toes into the world of NFTs, along with other mainstream companies like NBA Top Shots, Hot Wheels, etc. The big draw to these Funko NFTs for their current fan base is that there are several every drop that can later be redeemed for a physical product. They've done a pretty varied set of drops thus far, including properties such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Iron Maiden and Frisch's Big Boy. Their most recent drop, however, is all about the companies mascot, Freddy Funko.

There is a huge craze for their mascot among the Funko community. Some of the more limited Freddy Funko pops go for thousands up to tens of thousands of dollars. The prices always vary depending on the popularity of the character and the amount of product made. But, typically, most Freddy Funko pops will have some amount of value to them. I, however, have never been a huge fan of their mascot and have only ever been interested in a small handful of their pops. Until now, sadly. You see, I'm a disgusting whore for Halloween, and with this recent drop being nothing but Halloween themed stuff, I finally have caved into wanting some Freddy Funko shit.

There are a total of 4 redeemable NFT's for physical items in this set, which you can see below:

There are 3 different rarities here. The Devil Freddy is the "Grail" rarity, meaning it's the most limited and hard to find pop in the set. The Skeleton and Mummy Soda are considered the "Legendary" rarity, and the vampire is acquired by completing what they call the royalty set (Formally the mastery set). Which basically just means owning one of every NFT from common up to epic. So, by opening these packs we're hoping to cop a few of these bad bois. The prices on these NFT's vary quite a bit right now, but, even the cheapest of the four currently sells for around $160 on the after market. It's all up to luck if you pull any, as the pull rates are pretty low. So, lets see how my luck is with these packs, eh?

Considering 90 percent of people who collect Funko products are grease soaked, Cro-Magnon monstrosities, I think I can live with being a crusty nerd :)

I'm really curious what the market is going to be like for these pops once they start shipping them out to people. I have a feeling the NFT's are going to drop tremendously in price after people redeem their tokens. Have you gotten in on these at all yet?

Nah. I kinda gave up trying to obtain Funko exclusives. Too much headache at this point for us at the shop. Curious to see how they perform as well.

I don't blame you there, I think a lot of people are feeling that way. I had to join a discord with a bot that pings everyone when they get stuff in stock to even have a decent chance to acquire stuff that's exclusive to their shop.

Though, it seems like they've been making a shit ton of pops for their shock drops. Probably about 80-85 percent of their exclusives to the Funko Shop have sat in stock for days or even weeks before selling out lately. Fastest thing I've even seen sell out recently was GITD Shredder, which took like 16 hours.
