Riff of the week: Baba Yaga by Slaughter to Prevail (Breakdown/Solo)

Hello. Blah, blah new riff of the week. Yadda, yadda metal as fuck. Please, just leave me alone and let me rot in peaceee.

On a serious note, I figured this would be a fun contrast to my last riffing post. This is a modern Deathcore band that I've really been loving for the last year, and this is one of their newer tracks. I recorded very shortly after learning, so it's a teeny bit sloppy and could be cleaned up. But, the last 3 days have been fucking hell on my body and soul. And, the next 3 days is looking to be about the same. So, I'm just gonna call it there and be happy with what I recorded. I enjoyed learning the little solo at the end of this track, it has a midwestern emo vibe to it that reminds me of something that you'd have heard in a Hawthorne Heights song, instead of a Russian deathcore band.
