| OC ILLUSTRATION | THEASULOS, HIVESIAN PHILOSOPHER PRINCE | [TIMELAPSE]
Hello OCA Folk.
I've been thinking about where it is I'd like my art to be headed. So far I've been just drawing and uploading onto Hive but I'd like to do more, especially in these post-Covid economies. Not just that, but I'd like to do this professionally and make some real living from it. That means two things:
- I should figure out a predictable form and platform of monetization.
- I should settle into a style and genre for commissions and client work.
I've figured out the second part. My style is in the semi-realism and my genre is in the fantasy and sci-fi illustration neck of the woods. The first part is hard to figure out because it's not intuitive and not so obvious what step I ought to take.
If you have any advice please leave a comment below with your suggestions.
Anyway...
THEASULOS, HIVESIAN PHILOSOPHER PRINCE
I largely base most of all my original character drawings on the Tolkienian mythology and Magic the Gathering. For the last couple of months, I've been trying to form a little bit of a vague mythology with characterizations mainly captured in the title names.
I'd like to someday write a supplementing short story to go along with it. Maybe it'll be a small children's story or a short historical biography. We'll have to see what happens in the future.
PROCESS MATERIAL
I haven't written much in the last 3 years as things became complicated in life. If circumstances of the past were not dank for writing, for sure, the last 10 months of this year were definitely no exception.

go for it! it's very nice that you've figured out what you wanted and how you wanted it to go. 👍
heeeyyyy this would be very interesting!
Thanks for the support. I've been thinking about writing again for a while now. If I can wrap that into art it would be awesome.
