"Sorry, this is a wrong number"

"I felt really relaxed when you told me she was not your mom", he said.

"Yes! She reacted just like a mother will do. But I'm certain that my mother wouldn't have reacted in such manner", I replied.

"Well, I hope all her children are boys?" he asked "If she does she will be heading to her daughter in-laws home all by herself". We both laughed out loud. We laughed so hard that the woman sitting close to us with her daughter might be feeling concern about our discussion.

We sat for a while without uttering a word. I was a bit surprised that I could cope with the long silence, I don't usually feel comfortable being silent with a stranger. Whether a man or a woman.

"Do you mind if I know you name?", he asked in a gentle way. I replied, "Simi".

"Wow, your name is as beautiful as you are", he teased. I smiled and told him "thank you for the compliments". "What is your name, too".

"Ebuka", he replied. He stretched out his hand forward for a handshake and we both chorused "nice to meet you". I had some kind of feeling touching him. I asked myself if it's a normal one or there's something about this feeling.

Ebuka didn't ask further questions that are personal as the journey progresses. It was a great relief. I enjoyed the rest of the trip.

The bus got to my destination at Ekpoma. I highlighted and went to the rear to get my bags and other luggages. Ebuka got up also. "Is this your Bus Stop too", I asked. He gave a thumbs up.

We were going seperate directions. We exchanged contacts before saying goodbye. I dialled his number on my phone and I got a shocker of my life. I didn't see it coming.

Chinedu, the unknown caller who I fell in love with over the phone who mistakenly took my number for that of someone else. "Sorry, this is a wrong number", I could remember the first word I told him about four years ago when we started talking. All the memories we have shared via the phone rushed into my head.

I was confused and a lot of questions started coming to mind. Will he know that I am Victoria if he called? (Victoria is the name I told him since I don't know him too well). Is Ebuka also Chinedu? Or Chinedu is Ebuka's friend or something?

Is he still in love with me if he is Chinedu? Has he forgotten everything about me? The girl who picked up his phone the other day is she his girlfriend?

I'm in a state of dilemma. I don't know what to do. Should I call Ebuka and tell him I was his Victoria? Nevertheless, he is still my first love whether he comes back to my life or not.
