After church yesterday I decided to stop at the mall to get some few things that I will be needing for the week. I had to rush down and do the shopping because if I got home, I may not be able to come out again. The service ended quite late due to the fact that we started behind schedule. There were lots of activities during the first service that spanned through to the hours of the second one, hence the reason for the delay.
I was skeptical about going to the mall at that time of the day, that is, at about some minutes past one. For some weeks, there have always been a lot of queue at the cashier stand, probably due to the festive season. It may take a while before it gets to your turn to pay for your goods. But, yesterday was different to some extent and this could be that most people have returned to their base. Shopping was a big deal during the Christmas and New Year celebrations with friends and family members going in and out.
It is not only shopping that is being done in shopping malls during the festive period. It is a place where people visit to see different people and escape from the boredom of the house. It can be tiring to stay indoor all day.
So, the best place to visit for some people is the shopping mall where they can just window shop or enjoy some drinks while hanging around at the car lot. While some people's major reason for leaving their house is to take beautiful pictures using the fine background in the shopping malls. Posting pictures on Instagram and uploading videos on Tiktok is one thing some people cannot do without. So, they utilize every minute they spend at the mall for these purposes.
My visit to the mall wasn't complete without the purchase of ice cream. There is nothing compared to a cup of ice cream in a hot weather. It was just the perfect thing I needed for the hot weather yesterday. I also bought some for my nephew as well. He appreciated it so much and asked me to buy for him again today.
