This is the final look of my dress.
In my previous post, I showed you how I made the extended peplum top. Today, I’ll be sharing how I achieved this beautiful 360° flare to complete the outfit 💃 with just three trouser yard of fabric.

A 360° flare skirt (full circle skirt) gives a wide, flowing look. With waist 26 inches and full length 30 inches, follow these steps:

Step 1: Calculate Radius
Use the formula for a full circle:

26 ÷ 6.28 ≈ 4.1 inches
Add 1 inch seam allowance → 5.1 inches (waist radius)
Total radius (waist + length):
5.1 + 30 = 35.1 inches

Step 2: Prepare Fabric
Fold fabric into four (quarter fold)
Make sure edges align properly

Step 3: Marking
From the folded corner, measure 5.1 inches and mark a curved line (waist)
From the same point, measure 35.1 inches and mark another curve (hem)
Cut along both curves carefully

Step 4: Waistband
Cut a straight band:
Length: 28 inches (26 + seam allowance)
Width: 4 inches (folded to 2 inches)
Interface it for firmness
Join ends, then attach to skirt waist

Step 5: Sewing
Sew waistband to skirt waist neatly
Add lining
Insert zipper
Hem the skirt edge using a narrow fold

Final Touch
Press all seams with an iron for a neat finish. Your 360° flare skirt will fall beautifully and swing freely when you move.

Short review on how I make the extended peplum blouse

Cutting
‎Draft basic bodice (front & back):
‎Shoulder: 15 ÷ 2 = 7.5"
‎Bust: 35 ÷ 4 = 8.75" + 1" ease = 9.75"
‎Waist: 26 ÷ 4 = 6.5" + 1" ease = 7.5"
‎Waist length: 16"

‎Sleeve Drafting
‎Sleeve length = 7 inches.
‎Round sleeve = 14 ÷ 2 = 7 inches.
‎Draw sleeve cap and connect smoothly
‎Draw normal armhole curve

‎Dart shaping:
‎Mark waist dart (1" intake each side) to achieve fitted look
‎Extended peplum (key part):
‎From waistline, extend 10–14 inches downward
‎Front: keep short and slightly curved
‎Back: extend longer with tail effect (asymmetrical curve

‎Cutting the Extended Peplum
‎
‎Front Peplum: Fold your front fabric in half. Mark your quarter-waist measurement at the top fold, and then measure down the fabric to your total desired peplum length. Cut this out. You should have one piece on fold for the front.

‎Back Peplum: For the back, you will cut two separate pieces (left and right). Remember to add a 1-inch zipper allowance to the center back edge of each piece.

‎Sew darts on front and back
‎Join shoulder seams
‎Attach sleeves
‎Sew side seams
‎Join peplum to waistline (front , back)
‎Fix zipper at the back
