Rumble to Take Over YouTube? Do Decentralized Content Creation Platforms Stand a Chance?

avatar

I have been watching one of the renowned YouTube analyst who has been growing his followers at a good spead. His YouTube followers were more than 600k and it looked like he was going to get 1 million followers in a few months.

But then what happened is yesterday I was trying to watch what updates he has, but upon searching I couldn't find him on YouTube. It was a strange thing for me because he was always there on YouTube whenever I searched for him. I got to his Twitter account and I found that his YouTube channel has been banned.

I don't how would he himself feel about this. But it's not only abou mt him. This is something that could also have an impact on other YouTube content creators. I saw another analyst who is a popular one, who also had this apprehension of possibly his YouTube channel also could get banned because these are the guys who look to have same analysis about the current situation in the country. This guy said, I don't know if I also might get banned but he said that I have some alternatives to YouTube. And then he mentions Rumble to the viewers.

Rumble is an online video platform, web hosting and cloud services business headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, with its U.S. headquarters in Longboat Key, Florida. It was founded in October 2013 by Chris Pavlovski, a Canadian technology entrepreneur, according to Wikipedia.

What about Decentralized Content Creation Platforms?

People do look to try finding an alternative to YouTube. And probably it's because of the banning of channels on YouTube. Rumble does look to have caught some attention with some of the content creators moving over it.

But do the decentralized content creation platforms stand a chance?

I do think so. The number of content creators have grown significantly in later years and it still is growing. We might then see people realizing the strength of decentralized content creation platforms. With a bunch of content creators getting banned on platforms like YouTube, they could then think of moving to decentralized content creation platform.

In order to get recognition and experience mass adoption, alot of work needs to be done on the part of these decentralized content platforms.
