Apolitical thoughts

The political leaders and activists of our country always suffer from insecurity. This is applicable from the highest political leader to the youngest activists of a political party. This scenario is not just in my country, it's the same everywhere in this subcontinent. Where the prime ministers of many western countries go to their workplaces on foot or by bicycle, our leaders suffer from insecurity even though adequate protection deployed to protect them. If we review the history of this South East Asian country’s politics, we will see that many successful and popular political leaders have been assassinated and that is why this protection is now in place to save their lives. One of the reasons for this is political revenge against each other and ardor for power. Here politics is not seen as a great work but it is considered as a business. Yes, performing politics here is considered the source of income to run family.

We are so insecure today that various national establishments have been kept under strong security. Few days ago I took my kids to see the National Parliament building. I parked my car on the side of Manik Mia Avenue and took my kids at the front of the Parliament House. Although it was quite far from the main building, in the evening it was looking amazing with the decorated lights on. My son told me he wants to see the parliament building from a close distance. I told him in reply that it is forbidden to go inside. He is little enough to understand the matter but my daughter asked that what is reason not to allow us to go inside. Here we are talking not to enter inside the main building rather to visit the outside area that has been separated by an iron fence. I still remember when we were studied in University, we had a lot of chats with friends sitting very close to the parliament building. I replied my daughter that you will understand later when you grow up. I always try to teach my kids the promising things about my country. I don't want these complex things to enter inside them at such a young age.

Many of the cases, we ourselves are responsible for this situation. As a nation, breaking the rules has become a rule to us today. Few days ago, on 21st of February, when I went to pay respects to the language martyrs, my heart was filled with grief. The time was five o'clock in the afternoon. The premises of Shahid Minar was full of people. It is normal to have a crowd on such a special day, but sadly, countless people have stepped in the Shahid Minar with their shoes on. The language mutters may be smiling from heaven seeing this scenario today.

I am not a political analyst. So I have bestowed the heading of today's writing is ‘apolitical thoughts’. Because real politicians no longer do politics, it is now occupied by the wealthy and the armed community. If these activities continue, politicians will never be safe. This is the observation of many like me who believe in apolitical thought.

The political scene in your country can't different from that in mine. There is a big disconnect between the governed and governors.
Politicians cannot wake freely on the streets. They fear for their safety which would be the case if they did the right things.

Yes, it’s true for many of the countries like yours. The situation is getting worse every day. I wish the situation will improve one day.

Politics in my country is all about looting federal funds and feeding the people with lies. Once the real politicians is sworn into power with the aim of making a change, all of a sudden, he or she changed, brought or being silenced.

The politics we are seeing is really an unhealthy one. I feel hopeless on the future of our politics if it continues as its going now.

The fact is that people have less trust on politicians now like you and many others. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks Minhaj.

Dear @deepu7
This is an interesting post regarding this issue you raise. Politics has always been related to economic power and weapons, as it is the constant to maintain the pseudo order.
Yours, Piotr.
