Aug. 3, 20: Walking, Zombierun, Wall Destruction, Xbox, and Games

Oi, rough start to the day today. Up at the usual time, about quarter past six, but I couldn’t fall asleep the night before and so ended up a full two hours short! 😡 I was dragging really bad in the afternoon, but kept it going regardless.

Did my usual morning stuff relatively uneventfully. Cryptos still looking bullish despite the flash crash and falling volumes...winding up to make another move here pretty soon, I think.

Ethereum on a real run, up a good four percent! Never expected that my ETH holdings would be worth more than my BTC...glad I bought back at $105! 🤑 Still gonna’ hodl, I see lots of potential upside yet to come with the DeFi craze and Eth 2.0.

Needed to take the movie that we rented back to the store, so I headed out for a long route to get there. 😃 Left a bit too late to get the #AutomaticWin, though, had about fifteen hundred steps left to go at ten o’clock. 😢

Not exactly hot yet, but I did some jogging and got a good sweat on anyway.

Not too much happening during the walk, mainly thinking about my game and getting nowhere as usual. Felt good to get some sun, though...gotta’ grab it while you can!

This little squirrel 🐿 did catch my attention. Very skittish and really didn’t want to have its picture taken. Looks like it may be a hybrid offspring of the awesome gray/white squirrels a few houses down.

So weird, an otherwise completely normal looking squirrel, but then this shocking white tail!

It had been a while since I did a zombierun, and I figured that would give me an excuse to jog a little, so did one.

Honestly, I don’t really even know what the storyline was...was lost in thought most of the time. Just a boilerplate supply run mission as far as I could tell. Three for three zombies evaded with no warnings, and mission complete.

After I got home, I did my post for the day and put together the Solairitas Weekly News Update (no sales again this week 😢)...thinking of just spending the money to advertise myself rather than waiting to save up for a HPS proposal and then likely having it be ignored. I don’t know.

Been hardcore procrastinating on the basement wall...it makes me sad and frustrated...but figured I should get something more done today.

Got the mortar and tools downstairs and then set to trying to find a stable place to start rebuilding...not found it yet...more of it just keeps crumbling away.

Standing there watching the foundation of my house just collapse away in front of my eyes and all I can do is sing in my head 🎶 If you want to destroy my sweater, pull this string as I walk away...🎶 😭

I really don’t know if I’m going to be able to fix this myself...but I absolutely don’t want to have to deal with a contractor (haven’t had the best of luck with them and they’re frigging expensive)! I’d like to replace it all with concrete block, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get a level base to start building from, plus there’s the stress on the crosspost and the wall in the meantime. 😖

After an hour or so of that, I’d had enough, so I took a nice hot shower and played some Saints Row 2 on the Xbox. Got the last mission done for a nice 80 gamerscore cheevo Pop and completed some more of the activities and unlocked an attack helicopter 🚁🤩😍

Wenche was working a late shift again, so I made myself leftover steak and potatoes for dinner, played some Splinterlands, and then watched some Les Miserables before bedtime (another late night again).

The final exam was due at midnight, so tomorrow I’ve got to get my final grades done and put into the system and it’s another semester down. 🧐🤓😁

Anothe crime free day in my dCity today! 🤗. Got a hundred SIM now that the taxes have relaxed a little and got my trickle of BEER and some WEED. 🤑 I’ve pretty much spent all the potential I had saved up, so not expecting much liquid HIVE any time soon...so the city is likely to stay as it is for a while.

Got my task done today for Holybread. My potions come up for renewal tomorrow; close to being able to afford all three, but not quite, we’ll see.

I got bumped out of the top, though. 😢 All maxes out guys in front of me, so it’s going to be tough to get back.

I lucked out and got Dragon splinter for my Splinterlands quest today. After the amazing run up I had yesterday, I kind of expected today to suck, and it did!

Ended up way worse than when I started the day, and honestly was fed up and just wanted it to be over. Got the quest done in Diamond I with a potion. Rewards were terrible cardwise, but the DEC wasn’t too bad:

The Alliance Guild is growing nicely and we just leveled up again today, allowing us to recruit two more players. 🥳 I do miss the discount on potions I got in Neoxian Guild, but I also don’t feel like I’m spending my life working for him, more like it’s a team effort. I suppose that may be more a perception than anything else, but voluntary contribution feels a lot different than being forced to.
